GANGSTER’S MOTHER OBJECTS TO MOVIE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:58 pm

The mother of slain gangster MAYA DOLAS is planning legal action against the producers of Indian movie SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA.
The movie, written and produced by Sanjay Gupta, is based on the true-life story of a group of gangsters - including Dolas - who were gunned down by the Mumbai police force in 1991.
Gupta confirms he received a legal notice after actress Amrita Singh - who plays Dolas’ mother - claimed in an interview the parent encouraged him to become a gangster.
He tells NewKerala.com, "It’s a fact that the real Maya Dolas’ mother has sent us a lengthy legal notice. She has reacted adversely to Amrita’s interview especially to the part that says she encouraged Maya to become the person that he was.
"My legal department is looking into her legal notice. I’d like to say in my film’s defence that the lady hasn’t seen the film."
