DOHERTY’S BLOODWORKS EXHIBITION OPENS IN LONDON
LATEST: Paintings by British rocker PETE DOHERTY have gone on display in a new exhibition at a London art gallery, where he is charging up to £45,000 ($90,000) for his works.
The Bloodworks exhibition opened yesterday (15May07) at the Bankrobber Gallery, and is on show for one month.
The collection features 14 paintings, including self-portraits of the Babyshambles singer, many of which were created with his own blood.
Director of the gallery, Michael Chambati-Woodhead, says, "Painting is a relatively new thing for him. Painting with his blood is the expression of the intensity with which he does everything." (MT/WNWCAG/SH) WENN - FIFTH - HOLLYWOOD, SHOWBIZ & PEOPLE NEWS - 16 MAY 2007
