BONO CRITICISES WORLD LEADERS OVER AID SHORTFALL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:16 am

Campaigning rocker BONO has criticised world leaders for failing to give effective help to poor countries across the globe.
The U2 star insists that while financial aid to Africa has grown by $2.3 billion (£1.15 billion) since 2004, it is a much smaller figure than promised by the G8 summit in 2005.
But the singer believes high-profile media campaigns highlighting world poverty is helping to make a difference - as world leaders are taking notice of the public’s interest.
He says, "It’s a trend at this point but we have made such a fuss about it and now they know that the world is interested in the minutia of how these promises are being kept."
