LANSBURY PLEASED NOT TO HAVE WON OSCARS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:10 am

Three-time Oscar nominee ANGELA LANSBURY is glad she never won an Academy Award, because she’s convinced her career would have been less successful if she had.
The 81-year-old was nominated as Best Supporting Actress for her roles in Gaslight (1944), The Picture Of Dorian Gray (1945) and The Manchurian Candidate (1962).
But Lansbury - best known for her role in TV series Murder, She Wrote - is pleased she never picked up an Oscar.
She says, "I was terribly disappointed but subsequently very glad that I did not win it.
"I think sometimes an Academy Award, certainly for a supporting role, can put a terrible damper on a career, because you don’t know what you should do next."
