LATEST: Troubled actor DAVID HASSELHOFF has recovered from the embarrassment of his leaked drunken video to see the funny side of his mistakes - wishing he’d used cutlery to eat the burger.
Video footage shot by Hasselhoff’s 15-year-old daughter Taylor was leaked to the press earlier this month (May07), showing the former Baywatch star hurling expletives at his teenage offspring and attempting to eat a burger from the floor during a drunken rage.
And despite the media furore regarding the leaked footage, Hasselhoff only has one regret.
Piers Morgan, the actor’s fellow judge on TV show America’s Got Talent, claims he said, "I just wish I’d used a knife and fork to eat that f**king burger." The British journalist, who describes himself as a "good friend" of Hasselhoff, also alleges the 54-year-old is highly insecure about his fading looks.
Morgan says, "I sit next to him in the makeup trailer, and he is bordering on the obsessive about his personal appearance.
"His ego is massive, there’s no other word for it. Barely a day’s filming goes by when he doesn’t allude to Baywatch and Knight Rider being ‘the biggest TV shows ever’ or to the ‘nine million albums I’ve sold in Germany’." But Morgan insists the actor will bounce back from all the negative publicity he is currently experiencing.
He adds, "The Hoff is a survivor, and this week he was already seeing the funny side of his (drunken) video."

MARILYN MANSON’s estranged wife DITA VON TEESE suffered most when their one-year marriage collapsed, because she didn’t understand him, the rocker insists.
The burlesque dancer filed for divorce last December (06), just 12 months after marrying Manson.
The Antichrist Superstar hitmaker - now dating actress EVAN RACHEL WOOD says, "I think that somebody’s always going to suffer more. And I think I hurt her more. But only because she didn’t understand the amount of pain I went through before it became apparent to her.
"She didn’t understand that my idea of the relationship was suffering for longer than she knew. And so things were ended equally between us, she might have assumed that I didn’t care. Not realising that I had been experiencing it for much longer."

Pop superstar BRITNEY SPEARS has snubbed the chance to vent her anger over her failed marriage to Kevin Federline on her forthcoming album, because she has other methods of dealing with her emotions.
The Toxic singer has been in the studio working on her comeback record with producer Nate ‘Danja’ Hills - Timbaland’s protege - and he insists her new release will not reflect the troubles she has experienced in her private life.
He tells MTV, "She didn’t let none of her personal life into what she was doing.
"There was no, ‘I need to let it all out.’ She said she deals with that in another way."

Actor ANTONIO BANDERAS is disappointed after being overlooked for a role in the upcoming SIN CITY sequel, by his mentor ROBERT RODRIGUEZ.
The Spanish hunk was reported to have been asked to star in a follow-up of the graphic novel adaptation - but he is still holding out for a call from Rodriguez.
Banderas says, "I would follow Robert Rodriguez into hell if he asked me to do it…
"But the way this man works, he will literally call me the night before and say, ‘Let’s do this movie.’ And I will do it. I’ve done six movies with him, and that is the way he works."

BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD’s dad RON HOWARD was so overwhelmed at the birth of his first grandchild he lost his filmmaking skills.
The director wanted to film the birth of Theodore in February (07) but was so "freaked out" he could only film his daughter’s feet.
Dallas Howard says, "He’s this amazing filmmaker, you would think his composition would be so elegant and poignant. But he was totally freaked out of his mind. He basically shot our feet the entire time."

SALMA HAYEK has signed a deal to produce a series of new shows following her success as executive producer on UGLY BETTY.
US television network ABC has struck a deal with Hayek and producing partner Jose Tamez to work on new projects for the studio through their company, Ventanarosa Productions, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
It is the second producing pact for the former Hollywood actress. Last month (Apr07) the duo launched a film company, Ventanazul, in partnership with MGM to develop, produce and acquire mainstream films that either draw on Latin themes or feature Latin talent.

Actress LEAH REMINI is shocked she has never been awarded for her role in TV sitcom KING OF QUEENS during its nine year stint.
The star admits she would have loved an Emmy or Golden Globe to mark her time playing Carrie Heffernan.

MUHAMMAD ALI’s daughter KHALIAH ALI has hit out at her uncle, blaming his brutal beatings during her childhood for her immense weight gain as a teen.
The plus-size model and fashion designer - whose weight peaked at 325 pounds (147.5 kilograms) - makes the revelations about the un-named relative in her new self-help book Fighting Weight, where she also discusses her decision to undergo gastric surgery.
She says, "He came in yelling at me as if he were my father. ‘Round one, let’s see what you can do, kid. Round two, round three.’ "Every time I’d get up he’d beat me down again or hit me by my crotch. He pulled me up by my hair and the back of my shirt and dragged me toward the kitchen. He was going for a knife and said he was going to end it for me… I blacked out. When I came to, he was kicking me in the face." "I felt ashamed, the way victims do, as if it’s somehow their fault." Ali went under the knife in August 2004 and lost half her body weight, finally giving her the self-confidence she craved.
She adds, "(On bad days) I’d eat a thousand calories worth of food and try to fool myself by washing it down with Diet Coke…
"I couldn’t be naked with anybody, couldn’t wear a backless dress. (But) I’m no longer part of the fat pack."

Golden Globe winner RACHEL GRIFFITHS has refuted claims of a rift with her Muriel’s Wedding co-star TONI COLLETTE.
It was rumoured the pair were at loggerheads after Collette and husband Dave Galafassi reportedly refused to have their photo taken with Griffiths and spouse Andrew Taylor at an exhibition last week (ends11May07).
But Griffiths denies a rift, claiming their 13-year friendship is still strong.
She says, "It’s a crap story and disgusting. It was great to see her and I really appreciated seeing both of them.

Hollywood star GENE WILDER hopes the next US president is a Democrat, so millions of Americans can benefit from the stem cell surgery that saved his life.
The actor underwent a non-embryonic stem cell transplant in 2000 after being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Although that treatment was available to him in the US, under George W. Bush’s Republican regime, Americans can’t undergo embryonic stem-cell therapy.
Wilder, who has donated money to Democrat candidate Barack Obama’s 2008 election campaign, says, "I had a stem-cell transplant. It saved my life.
"I saw Christopher Reeve at the US Open tennis championships in 2004.
"I told him ‘I had a stem-cell transplant.’ He was going to have an embryonic one in two months time, in another country and he died six weeks later.
"It’s insane. The lives that could be saved." But Wilder admits America may not be ready to elect a black president. He says, "I like Barack Obama. I think he has a chance. It’ll be difficult. It would be a great move forward for the US. But he isn’t being guarded for no reason." The 73-year-old, meanwhile, insists he’d never be tempted to try his hand at politics. The actor-turned-author says, "I’m quietly political. I don’t like advertising. Giving money to someone or support, but not getting on a bandstand. I don’t want to run for president in 2008. I will write another book instead."

Former MARRIED… WITH CHILDREN star DAVID FAUSTINO has been arrested in Florida on suspicion of drug possession and disorderly intoxication.
The 33-year-old actor, who played Bundy son Bud on the 1990s comedy, was arrested in New Smyrna Beach in the early hours of Saturday morning (12May07) after police found him arguing in the street with his ex-wife Andrea.
Police tell the Orlando Sentinel newspaper that the couple admitted they have been drinking and upon searching Faustino, they allegedly found a gram of marijuana in his pocket.
Faustino was released from Volusia County Branch Jail later on Saturday.

Actress DENISE RICHARDS and rocker RICHIE SAMBORA have split after a year-long romance.
The Wild Things beauty, 36, and Bon Jovi guitarist, 47, started dating in April 2006, just months after filing for divorce from their respective spouses, Charlie Sheen and Heather Locklear.
At the time, the romance caused huge controversy because Richards had been close friends with Locklear. The former Bond girl insisted her friendship with the Melrose Place actress had ended before she starting dating Sambora.
However, Richards’ representative confirmed to US magazine In Touch today (15May07) that the couple had split some time ago.
The rep says, "Denise and Richie broke up two months ago." Despite their split, Richards attended the funeral of Sambora’s father Adam, who died on 20 April (07) following a long battle with lung cancer.
Sambora’s divorce from Locklear was finalised last month (Apr07).

American rockers THE LEMONHEADS postponed their London gig last night (14Apr07) after the venue suffered power problems.
The Boston group, fronted by Evan Dando, were scheduled to performed at the Koko venue in north London, but the area began to suffer from electricity shortages.

Turkey is to host a music concert as part of the Live Earth series of gigs this summer, according to media reports.
Istanbul will play host to a variety of local and international stars on 7 July (07), although the official line-up has yet to be announced.
The news comes shortly after event organiser Al Gore announced on Saturday (11May07) the Live Earth gig in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, will be the largest of all the concerts, held simultaneously across the world to raise awareness about climate change.
The other Live Earth concerts will take place in London; New York; Tokyo, Japan; Shanghai, China; Johannesburg, South Africa; Sydney, Australia; and Hamburg, Germany.

Scottish rockers AEREOGRAMME are splitting up - because they can’t afford to continue making music.
The Glasgow fourpiece posted news of their split on their official MySpace webpage on Friday (11May07), blaming their parting of ways on the "never ending financial struggle".
They write, "It is with heavy hearts that we tell you all that Aereogramme have decided to split up. Reasons are multiple and complex. It is however fair to say that the never ending financial struggle coupled with an almost superhuman ability to dodge the zeitgeist have taken their toll, ensuring that we just don’t have any fight left in us.
"We are immensely proud of the four albums that we made over the past seven years. We hope that they continue to grow in your hearts. We plan to honour and celebrate the beautiful friendships we have made along the way with these final shows over the summer." The group, who formed in 1998, will continue with their numerous European festival gigs and disband after they play the Inverary Connect Festival in Scotland on 31 August (07).

Rapper NELLY is branching out of hip-hop and collaborating with BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN - if he can convince the Streets of Philadelphia star to join him in the studio.
The Hot In Herre hitmaker is reportedly keen on the idea of working with Springsteen, after his Over and Over duet with country star Tim McGraw became a huge crossover hit in 2004.

The singer - real name Alecia Moore - met youngsters who are too sick to attend one of her seven concerts this month (May07).

Late crooner BOBBY DARIN was honoured with a dedication on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars yesterday (14May07), to celebrate what would have been his 71st birthday.
Darin, famed for hits like Dream Lover and Mack the Knife, died in December 1973 from complications after heart surgery. He was just 37-years-old.
At the unveiling ceremony on Monday, veteran singer Wayne Newton said, "Bobby never left us. Bobby will never be gone." Darin joins a host of other celebrities on the Walk of Stars, including Siegfried & Roy, Sammy Davis Jr., Liberace and Newton, who was awarded the very first star.
