BARKIN: ‘WHAT WAS I THINKING MARRYING PERELMAN?’
ELLEN BARKIN insists she was "crazy" and "clueless" to have let her acting career slide when she married billionaire businessman Ron Perelman.
Barkin and Perelman wed in 2000, before divorcing six years later, and the Sea Of Love star cannot believe she allowed herself to think Perelman’s contacts would further herself.
She says, "What the hell was I thinking? Marry a rich guy? Was I crazy? "I didn’t need that. I was already at the party. I didn’t need someone to get me through the door. How could I be so clueless about who I am and what I value? "Did I actually think I was going to give up working? It’s important for me to work."
