BARAT: ‘DOHERTY COULD BE DEAD IN A FEW YEARS’
Troubled British rock star PETE DOHERTY could "be dead in a few years" according to his former LIBERTINES bandmate CARL BARAT.
The pair performed together as part of The Libertines until a fall out in 2004 caused BABYSHAMBLES frontman Doherty to quit the group and start his own band.
But Barat insists his pal’s drug abuse and current lifestyle could see the singer facing an early grave.
He says, "I love Pete like a brother and I am working with him again, (but) he could end up dead in a few years if he doesn’t sort himself out.
"Pete ended up in the nick last week - I don’t think he’ll ever change."
