MANSON COULDN’T PUT CAREER ASIDE FOR MARRIAGE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:52 pm

Shock rocker MARILYN MANSON believes his refusal to put his music aside to support his estranged wife DITA VON TEESE’s burlesque career contributed to the end of their marriage.
Manson admits the strip tease artist, real name Heather Sweet, put her own career on hold to support the singer during the early years of their relationship, but he didn’t realise she would expect the same from him.
Sweet filed for divorce last December (06), after just one year of marriage and a five year relationship prior to their wedding.
Manson says, "I don’t think that the relationship was… something to blame… as much as the cliches of marriage. Being expected to change, change who you are.
"I started to feel - and maybe this is only how I perceived it, or it’s what my ex-wife genuinely expected of me - but to have to change who I am because suddenly I’m more responsible for who I am…
"That and the unfortunate coincidence that her career was really taking off.
And I wasn’t able to give up what I’m doing and follow her; like she did for me, in the beginning.
"But I never knew I was going to be expected to do that. Sacrifice to me is something you do without expecting something in return.
"So for you to think that if I loved you I would change, or I would not be depressed, or I would to - you know - give up my work for a moment…
"My creatively nearly died and I nearly died."

SIMPSONS PARODY INFURIATES FOX

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:43 pm

An internet parody of The Simpsons featuring O.J. SIMPSON has infuriated bosses at 20th Century Fox.
The studio has asked online video site Broadcaster.com to take down three animated clips, titled The OJ Simpsons, that re-imagine the series with the ex-American footballer.
The three clips are titled Black and White Christmas, Warzone and If I Did It - which features Fox’s decision to withdraw publication of Simpson’s proposed book about the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman. The clips also parody the opening scene of The Simpsons, with Simpson being chased by several police cars - just like he was chased live TV in the US, after the pair were found dead in Los Angeles in June 1994. Simpson was later found not guilty of the murders.
The website offered to review the clips, but claim parodies are protected by fair-use doctrine. Chief-executive Martin Wade said: "We respect the rights of content owners.
"Our goal is to be a respecter of content rights and at the same time find legal ways to bring our community members the content they enjoy."

HEALY FEARED LOSING SONGWRITING SKILLS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:37 pm

He says, "I wasn’t really comfortable talking about this at the time it came out, but (album) 12 Memories was about going into therapy and the record was the therapy sessions.
"So I had three months of hypnotherapy instead, where you went back and fixed your memories.
"Because I’m the biggest blab, I will confide in everyone. But my worry about going into therapy was, what if I can’t write songs anymore because I fixed the thing that makes me do it."
