WILLIS IRRITATED BY OUTSPOKEN ACTORS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:10 pm

BRUCE WILLIS is fed up with listening to outspoken actors - and believes their opinion shouldn’t mean "jack s**t" to the general public.
The Die Hard star understands some of his colleagues want to do good for various causes, but wishes others would keep their thoughts to themselves.
He says, "I don’t think my opinion means jack s**t, because I’m an actor.
"Why do actors think their opinions mean more because you act? You just caught a break as an actor. There are hundreds - thousands - of actors who are just as good as I am, and probably better.
"Have you heard anything useful come out of an actor’s mouth lately?" He adds, "Although I liked George Clooney’s documentary on Darfur."

CAMPBELL PLANS THERAPY SESSIONS WITH HER MUM

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:10 pm

Supermodel NAOMI CAMPBELL’s mum is making up for months away from the beauty as a child - by agreeing to join her in therapy.
The British catwalk star, who never knew her father, admits she largely grew up on her own because her mum, a ballet dancer, had to leave the young Naomi at home while she travelled.
Campbell recalls, "She left me with a nanny from the time I was three until I was 12. I’m sure it wasn’t easy for her to leave me, but she was a single mother and she had to work.
"I can’t imagine the pain she felt when my father abandoned us. I would see her on vacations, when she would pop over for a few days.
"It was always a delight to see my beautiful young mother. How happy I’d be when she picked me up from school." But there’s no distance between Campbell and her mother, Valerie, now - they share everything together.
The model adds, "Recently, my mother agreed to go into therapy with me." Campbell tells W magazine the mother and daughter therapy sessions will begin when she’s eliminated all the negative elements from her life: "It’s something I wanted for a long time but haven’t started because now I need to get myself on the right path first."

SCHWARZENEGGER ‘TOO BUSY’ TO BOTHER WITH PARIS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:07 pm

LATEST: California Governor ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER has refused to be drawn into PARIS HILTON’s jail appeal, insisting he has more pressing matters to deal with.
The desperate socialite, who was sentenced to serve 45 days in jail earlier this month (04May07) after violating terms of her 2006 drink-driving arrest, has teamed up with a pal to pioneer an online petition begging the politician for a pardon.
The appeal, which is addressed to Schwarzenegger, claims "the American public who support Paris are shocked, dismayed and appalled by how Paris has been the person to be used as an example that drunk driving is wrong." Earlier this week (09May07) Schwarzenegger’s press secretary insisted it was premature to comment on the case, but his boss hinted yesterday (11May07) her campaign was likely to end in disappointment.
Schwarzenegger said, "I’ve never got any request. But I have many more important things to think about."

He says, "The only thing I found very difficult was I never really held a baby before, and I didn’t know how to do it.
"The rest of the cast had some experience so they knew that you have to hold the head. Supposedly you have to hold their heads because it’s not strong.
"So the first couple babies, I injured them. The baby you see in the film was number six. One through five they will be fine, but they might walk funny."

SPIELBERG BEGS CHINA FOR DARFUR INTERVENTION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:04 pm

STEVEN SPIELBERG has appealed to Chinese President HU JINTAO to pressure Sudan over the humanitarian crisis in Darfur.
The director is serving as an artistic advisor for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and hopes the host country can help persuade the African nation to allow access to United Nations peacekeepers in the troubled region.
In a letter to Jintao,Spielberg writes, "I share the concern of many around the world who believe that China should be a clear advocate for United Nations action to bring the genocide in Darfur to an end.
"Accordingly, I add my voice to those who ask that China change its policy toward Sudan and pressure the Sudanese government to accept the entrance of United Nations peacekeepers to protect the victims of genocide in Darfur.
"China is uniquely positioned to do this and has considerable influence in the region that could lead efforts by the international community to bring an end to human suffering there." Earlier this year (Mar07) Spielberg was criticised by actress Mia Farrow over his involvement in the Chinese Games, given the country’s dubious human rights record.
She said, "Is Mr. Spielberg, who in 1994 founded the Shoah Foundation to record the testimony of survivors of the Holocaust, aware that China is bankrolling Darfur’s genocide?"

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:10 am

Actress SANDRA BULLOCK has won a three year restraining order against a fan who allegedly tried to kill her husband at her California home last month (Apr07).
Marcia Valentine is said to have attempted to run over TV mechanic Jesse James five times after driving her Mercedes onto the couple’s Orange County estate.
Bullock yesterday (11May07) told a Santa Ana court that Valentine threw woven palm fronds with "weird signs" and "pieces of animal fur" over her gate and also left them on a neighbour’s property.
A judge said there is "clear and convincing evidence" that Valentine had repeatedly stalked Bullock and her family and ordered her to stay at least 500 feet (152 metres) away from them.
Bullock had already taken out a temporary restraining order against Valentine, who police tracked down following her alleged car attack.
She was held on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and has since posted bail of $25,000 (GBP12,500) and is awaiting her next court date.
Neither Bullock nor James were injured in the attack.
