A man in Sweden set his apartment on fire to smoke out his neighbours.
The unnamed 41-year-old from Malmo had been feuding with his neighbours about a tumble dryer for over a year.
The row began when the man accused the neighbours of leaving washing in the communal laundry room’s tumble dryer and failing to clean the fluff filter.
To get his revenge, the man lit five fires in his apartment and in the basement of his building. He then kicked his neighbour’s door and banged it with a hammer.
Emergency services were alerted and managed to extinguish the flames before they caused too much damage.
He faces arson charges at Malmo District Court.

A US woman is suing her church after falling over at the altar.
Judith Dadd, 52, from Eaton County, was at a rally for church leaders in 2002 when she was "slain in the Spirit", before falling backwards and hitting her head.
Dadd claims she still suffers from memory loss, loss of concentration and depression.
Pastor David Russell Williams is furious he is being sued by a former member of his church.
He fumed: "She was accusing the Holy Spirit of slaying her and causing her injury, and accusing members of the church of not showing care or concern. I think she was being coached by somebody."

A Canadian man was horrified to find used chewing gum in his hamburger.
Max Ipinza, from Vancouver, was having lunch with co-workers when he bit into his Big Xtra and tasted peppermint.
After spitting out a mouthful of meat he realised there was gum in it.
He said: "Three-quarters of the way through, I end up tasting something like peppermint, like gum, and immediately I knew something was wrong, because this is not what a typical McDonald’s burger tasted like.
"And so I decided to regurgitate everything back into the box and examined it, and it looked like gum to me. Immediately I felt very sick." Ipinza rushed to hospital after fearing he could have contracted hepatitis and was advised to return if he experienced flu-like symptoms.

A drunken Lithuanian student was hospitalised after being attacked by a giraffe.
Kaunas Technology University student Ruta Greiciute thought it would be fun to break into the giraffe cage with two friends at their local zoo. But a 1.3 ton male giraffe named Solut flew into a rage and attacked them.
Kaunas Zoo spokeswoman Angele Grebliauskaite said: "This was a very silly thing they did. The scared giraffe could have stomped her to death." Ruta suffered a broken collar bone and nose while the other two students survived uninjured.
Police are now investigating how the 22-year-old and her friends - who had been celebrating a festival - managed to enter the zoo and scale the 10 foot high fence surrounding the giraffe cage.

A British playwright has been told to warn audiences his act features a roast chicken, so as not to offend vegetarians.
Doug Devaney is starring in one-man play ‘Mein Gutt’ - a black comedy about a man battling obesity - but organisers at the Brighton Fringe Festival are worried the chicken he uses as a prop may cause offence.
The 41-year-old said: "I’ve heard of strobe lighting or nudity being cause for audience concern but never roasted chicken.
"I’m happy to do it - I just find it weird. It takes some of the surprise of theatre away." Event organiser Sandra McDonagh said: "We don’t want to cause offence.
"There will always be one person who is sensitive enough to complain.
"I have come across staunch vegans who will kick off about most things. It’s always better to cover yourself."

Telephone operators in Wales have been told not to speak Welsh as it could damage their vocal chords.
Union officials have succeeded in persuading the Vale of Glamorgan council to ban the traditional greetings "bore da" - meaning "good morning" - and "prynhawn da" - meaning "good afternoon".
They argued that workers whose first language is English could harm themselves trying to pronounce the phrases. They added the ban was in keeping with Health and Safety Executive’s recommendation that call centre workers limit their phone time to preserve their vocal chords.
The Welsh Language Act requires government bodies to offer services in both English and Welsh.
Local Plaid Cymru Councillor Steffan Williams objected to the county ban: "I can’t see how saying ‘bore da’ will do people in a call centre any harm."

Cyprus have banned a radio-controlled vibrator declaring it a threat to national security.
The countries military forces believe the electronic waves of Anne Summers’ sex toy ‘Love Bug 2′ could disrupt the Army’s radio frequencies.
An Ann Summers spokesman said: "The remote control only has a range of six metres. We had been selling them in Cyprus, but with a warning urging Cypriots not to use it unless they travel abroad.
"However, they are no longer on sale there." The egg shaped radio-controlled device is now packaged with a leaflet describing it as a "deceptively powerful matt silver love egg", but warning "Not for use in Cyprus".
The government’s Communications and Works Ministry said: "They were banned by the military, but if issues of national security are at stake then that is not surprising."

Irish prison officers were shocked to discover a live budgie had been smuggled into their maximum-security vicinity.
The bird was believed to have been brought into Portlaoise Prison by a female visitor concealing the animal in her body.
Officers found the budgie during a large search of the premises - which concentrated on the area housing gangland figures from Dublin and Limerick.
They also found eight mobile phones, three SIM cards, 150 pills, including ecstasy, powdered drugs, a large amount of home-made alcohol and 30 syringes.

A US woman was charged $8,000 for her fast-food meal.
Guadalupe Pequino, from South Carolina, purchased $8.64 of food from a Burger King drive-through with her Visa card.
However, when she received her receipt she was shocked to see she had been charged $8,648.64.
General manager Jimmy Gadagno said the clerk had accidentally entered the figure twice.
He added: "It was an honest mistake, and the store has done everything it can to credit the account." The women was credited the money a few days later. However, during the wait Pequino said she had trouble "paying her rent and buying food".

An Austrian library has launched a "sex hotline".
Vienna’s main library is offering callers the chance to listen to a woman breathlessly reading erotic literature dating back to the 18th century for 53 cents a minute until May 21.
The city hall decided to launch the hotline in a bid to raise cash to pay for the refurbishment and expansion of the public building.
Famous Austrian stage and film star, Anne Bennent, recorded the raunchy passages from the library’s collection of 1,200 works of erotic fiction from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.

US police were foiled by a no-armed-one-legged driver who got away.
Michael Francis Wiley, 40 - who had his licence suspended - was spotting behind the wheel of a car by an officer in Pasco County, Florida, on Tuesday (08.05.07).
The policeman went to investigate the Ford Explorer, but Wiley drove off.
The officer gave chase in his car and called for back-up. However, after about 10 minutes the law-enforcers were forced to give-up the chase, for the sake of public safety.
Police have issued a warrant for his arrest.
Wiley - who is known as Pasco County’s most notorious traffic violator - has previously stolen a car, kicked a state trooper, and led a police car chase down Interstate 75 at nearly 120mph.

A Chinese park is painting horses with stripes and calling them zebras.
Shenyang botanical park is charging 30 pence for a photograph with the ‘zebras’ - which have been adorned with black stripes and fluffy white hair - but claims the stunt is "just for fun".
One mother who paid for her child to have her picture taken with the animal agreed that the attraction was harmless.
She said: "We saw right away that the zebra is fake, but we are here for fun, so it doesn’t really matter." When asked about the authenticity of the animal, a worker said: "It’s from Africa. What do you call it, if it’s not a zebra?"

A British man has put his imaginary friend up for sale on an internet auction site.
The seller, who calls himself "thewildandcrazyoli", has already attracted bids of more than £1,550 for his make believe pal ‘Jon Malipieman’.
The sales pitch reads: "My imaginary friend Jon Malipieman is getting too old for me now. I am now 27 and I feel I am growing out of him.
"He is very friendly. Along with him, I will send you what he likes and dislikes, his favourite things to do and his personal self portrait."

A US boy was horrified to discover the "Rice Krispies" sound he was hearing was being caused by two spiders living in his ear.
Jesse Courtney, of Oregon, told his mother Diana that he kept hearing popping and crackling noises.
Concerned about her son’s health, she took him to the doctor. The consultant found a pair of arachnids in nine-year-old Jesse’s ear canal, which were flushed out with water.
Jesse said: "They were walking on my eardrum and I kept hearing this popping sound like Rice Krispies.
"The doctor gave them to me to keep as a souvenir and I have taken them to school to show my friends.
"It was really interesting. I mean, spiders living in my ear - how many other kids can say that!"

A Brazilian man has put his wife up for sale for an asking price of $50.
The man - who gave his name as Breno - posted an advertisement on internet auction site Mercado Livre offering his 35-year-old spouse to the highest bidder.
The posting read: "I sell my wife for reasons I prefer to keep short … I really need the money." The man described his wife physically and listed her qualities as a homemaker and companion, saying she was "worth her weight in gold".
The Brazilian government has now ordered Mercado Livre, partially owned by eBay, to remove the ad.
The Secretariat of Public Policies for Women announced the posting was violating a law banning the offer of sale of "human organs, people, blood, bones or skin".

Britain’s oldest living twins have celebrated their 98th birthday.
Ivy Shermer and Oliver Tucker - born in 1909 in Hartlepool - spent their special day swapping memories together.
The siblings - who have both been married twice - are now living in nursing homes.
Ivy’s son Ronnie, 72, believes his mother and aunt are the oldest living twins in Britain, but refused to have the record officially adjudicated by the Guinness World Records.
The world’s oldest living twins were born in 1907.
