LATEST: ROD STEWART’s son SEAN is facing legal action for an alleged assault last month (23Apr07) which left a couple fearing for their lives.
Stewart and his friends reportedly began throwing rocks and trash at guests as they left a private party, after they were denied entry themselves.
In a lawsuit filed yesterday (08May07) in Los Angeles Superior Court, Tolabus and Ericka Stein claim they were driving their car from the party when Stewart began "swinging his arms, punching, throwing bricks and other items" at them.
According to documents obtained by TMZ.com, the couple felt "shock, horror, fright, worry, grief, shame, embarrassment, anger, chagrin and nausea".
The Steins are seeking unspecified damages.
Sean has previously been in trouble in the US for drug and assault offences, resulting in a three-month stint in jail in 2002.

British singer LILY ALLEN brought her unique style to the high street last night (08May07) at the launch of her own fashion line in London.
The Smile star’s collection of dresses, jewellery and shoes, called Lily Loves, hit the shelves of clothes chain New Look today (09May07).
And at a launch party yesterday, Allen took the opportunity to promote her range over that of celebrity rival Kate Moss, whose Topshop collection had its US premiere at New York store Barney’s the same evening.
Allen tells MTV, "Kate Moss’ range is great; it’s just not for people like me.

LATEST: California Governor ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER is keeping coy about PARIS HILTON’s chances of a pardon, insisting it’s "premature" to comment on her chances of escaping jail.
The desperate socialite, who was sentenced to serve 45 days in jail last week (04May07) after violating terms of her 2006 drink-driving arrest, has teamed up with a pal to pioneer an online petition begging the politician for a pardon.
The appeal, which is addressed to Schwarzenegger, claims "the American public who support Paris are shocked, dismayed and appalled by how Paris has been the person to be used as an example that drunk driving is wrong." However, Schwarzenegger’s press secretary, Aaron McLear, says the governor has received no formal request to consider a pardon.
He adds, "It would be premature for the governor to become involved in any case until the individual has exhausted their judicial remedies." Hilton’s lawyers filed a notice in court last Friday of their intention to appeal her sentence.

Croatian folk singer MARKO PERKOVIC THOMPSON’s concert tomorrow (10May07) has been cancelled over security fears.
The singer, who has become an icon for Croat nationalists in both Croatia and Bosnia, was due to play in Sarajevo, in Bosnia and Herzegovina - but the city’s authorities, Jewish, anti-fascist and Muslim war veterans associations have protested against the planned show.
They accuse the singer of flirting with the ideology of Croatia’s World War Two Nazi-allied Ustashe regime, which was responsible for the deaths of many Serbs and Jews.
Thompson has hit back at the charges, saying, "I am sorry that a lynch-mob atmosphere has been created in Sarajevo."

Tennis star SERENA WILLIAMS has a hidden talent as a rapper - but won’t be pursuing a music career because she is "too shy".

Former boy band ‘N SYNC are being sued over claims they plagiarised a song on their 2001 album Celebrity.
In a lawsuit filed on Monday (07May07) in Las Vegas Federal Court, Troy Alexander alleges he met the band’s record label Jive in 1990 and gave them a demo tape for his song Up Against The Wall.
According to documents obtained by TMZ.com, the band - Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Justin Timberlake - released a track with the same title "substantially similar" to the demo.
A spokesperson for Jive records reveals they are not aware of the claim and have not been served with any papers.

Two men have been charged after breaking into US rockers SMASHING PUMPKINS’ studio and stealing artwork and musical paraphernalia last weekend (05-06May07).
The burglars gained entry to the venue in Chicago, Illinois, stealing pictures from a photoshoot for upcoming album Zeigeist and allegedly taking three guitar picks belonging to the band.
The perpetrators then reportedly posted photographs of their haul on the internet, but were charged with burglary yesterday (08May07).
A spokesperson for Smashing Pumpkins says, "Management for Smashing Pumpkins confirms that the band’s rehearsal studio in Chicago was burglarised last week.
"The two people who are now in jail illegally gained access to the band’s private space and stole various items belonging to them over the course of several hours while the band had left for the evening.
"The band’s management says the group feels their rights have been violated by this crime and will always pursue their rights and the law to protect their property and the safety of themselves, their families and their fans." Police Sergeant Vidal Vasquez adds, "They (the band) were pissed."

The queen and husband Prince Philip visited Maryland’s NASA Goddard Space Flight Centre as part of their official royal tour of the US and were introduced to three space explorers based 250 miles above them in the International Space Station.
British astronaut Michael Foale - who gave Her Majesty a guided tour of the flight centre - explained the orbiting space station was directly over the US and would be positioned over Britain soon.
The queen replied: ‘That is wonderful.’ During the live video conference, US astronaut Suni Williams - who has been in space for five months - told the queen the station was a ‘wonderful place to live’.
She added: ‘We are carrying out a myriad of experiments to prepare to live in space for a long period of time.’ Russian astronauts Fyodor Yurchikin and Oleg Kotov were also introduced to the queen.
Kotov told her: ‘It is great to see you are interested in this programme. Thank you for this very great day.’ When space scientists explained their plans to return to the moon and send astronauts to Mars, the queen said: ‘Fascinating, absolutely fascinating.’ Meanwhile, Prince Philip was concerned about how the astronauts used the toilet when going out on space walks.
He asked British astronaut Piers Sellers - who had been on six space walks: ‘What do you do about natural functions?’ Sellers replied that he wore an adult nappy.
He said later: ‘It was a good question to ask. ‘I told him that I would wait for ten hours and then once back inside get someone to help me off with the suit and rush to the bathroom.’

The tomb of the Biblical King Herod has been found, an archaeologist has claimed. Hebrew University expert Ehud Netzer said the tomb was discovered on a hilltop in the Judean Desert, where the tyrant monarch had built a palace compound. No skeletal remains were located at the Herodium site, near Jerusalem, but relics of a limestone sarcophagus - a type stone coffin - were found. Ehud, who had been working at the site since 1972, told reporters yesterday (08.05.07): ‘It’s a sarcophagus that we don’t just see anywhere. It is something very special.’ Stephen Pfann, an expert from the University of the Holy Land, concurred that the discovery was major, but advised further investigation was needed.
Though Herod was believed to be notably responsible for building ancient Jerusalem and the Holy Land, he also earned himself the reputation as one of the most cruel and vicious leaders in history. During his reign as king from 74BC to 4BC, Herod ordered the executions of numerous members of his family and was responsible for the ‘massacre of the innocents’ - when he called for all male infants and young children in Bethlehem to be executed, amid fears one of them, Jesus, was destined to inherit his crown.

The Army brothers - who are both second lieutenants in the Household Cavalry - will walk alongside each other in the annual Combined Cavalry Old Comrades Association Parade in London’s Hyde Park this Sunday (13.05.07).
The princes’ will wear City suits, black bowler hats and carry umbrellas for the memorial service, reports Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper.
The tradition uniform reflects the ‘proper order of dress’ which applied before World War I.
Harry will be marching without his fellow soldiers from the Blues and Royals A Squadron, who have been deployed to Iraq.
The 22-year-old’s posting to the war-torn country has been delayed by defence chiefs in order for Harry’s regiment to assess the danger posed by opposition rebels before he is flown out.
They are also keen to do all they can to keep his presence there as secret as possible from insurgents who have threatened to target him.
Harry is expected to join his Army colleagues sometime this month for a six-month tour of duty.
He has been trained to lead 12 men in four Scimitar armoured reconnaissance vehicles.
However, Army chiefs are considering the possibility of Harry’s duties being purely office-based to keep him away from the dangers of conflict.

Denmark’s Prince Frederik and Princess Mary have released the first official photos of their two-week old baby daughter. The proud parents posed with their baby princess and her brother 18-month-old Prince Christian for a series of touching family portraits.
One of the heart-warming images shows Christian smiling at his baby sister, while another shows Frederik and Mary gazing adoringly at the infant royal. Photographer Steen Brogaard, who shot the pictures at Fredensborg Palace, praised the family and said little Christian was brimming with excitement about showing off his sister.
He told reporters: ‘I asked where the baby was and he said straight away, ‘This is the baby’, and showed me. I’m sure he loves her already.
‘She behaved well. She is beautiful. The whole family is beautiful.’ The newest addition to Denmark’s royal family will not be officially named until her Christening ceremony set to take place on July 1. For the meantime, the baby is being affectionately referred to as baby Lillepigen - which is Danish for ‘little girl’.
