ANDERSON SMITTEN WITH CHARGER BINN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:10 pm

Baywatch star PAMELA ANDERSON is smitten with new boyfriend DAVID BINN, because the American football star is a real man.
The actress jetted off to Russia with the San Diego Chargers star on a cultural sightseeing tour recently, ending rumours she had reunited with ex-husband Tommy Lee.
And Anderson insists Binn is the perfect man for her: "That’s exactly how I want my man to be - very strong, very calm. I’m such a crazy person, so emotional, and with Dave I can relax.
"What I hate nowadays is that so many guys are becoming like girls - they’re not cool any more!"

SNOOP DOGG WANTS TO PRODUCE FOR CELINE DION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:07 pm

SNOOP DOGG would love to work with Canadian singer CELINE DION - because producing hip-hop beats for his rap friends is "too easy".
The Drop It Like It’s Hot star has produced tracks for Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs, Warren G and Nate Dogg, but is eager to move out of the hip-hop genre and has already prepared songs for artists like Dion and soul star Sade.
He tells AllHipHop.com, "I got beats for mothaf**kin’ everybody, man. I got beats for Celine Dion, and mothaf**kin’ Sade.
"I’ve got music for everybody, not just rap. Rap s**t is easy - whoever I call, I can get, just because I’m Snoop Dogg. That’s too easy (in rap). I want to reach out with some creative artists that’s gonna be here 20 years from now."

SHETTY: ‘GERE CALLS ME TWICE A DAY’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:07 pm

LATEST: RICHARD GERE has been calling Indian actress SHILPA SHETTY twice a day to make sure she is coping with the scandal surrounding their public kiss.
The actor embraced Shetty on TV during an AIDS awareness event in Delhi last month (Apr07), causing uproar in conservative India, where a warrant was later issued for Gere’s arrest.
The Pretty Woman star has since apologised for the impromptu kiss, but he’s still worried about the problems his actions have caused the Bollywood beauty.
Shetty says, "He was so worried about me, he called me every day - sometimes twice! It was mortifying for him to have hit the headlines over something like this, but he was so generous about it all and kept calling me to make sure I was alright.
"He was genuinely very concerned about me. That is the kind of man he is."

COHEN DENIES SET-UPS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:07 pm

British funnyman SACHA BARON COHEN has hit out at persistent allegations his character interviews are set-up, insisting his subjects are convinced he’s for real.
Following the huge success of Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan last year (06), Cohen has been dogged by claims his bumbling personas are revealed to the public before the camera starts rolling.
But Cohen says, "I can tell you that none of them know what’s coming. They all think they are being interviewed for a very serious show and none (of them) think it’s a joke.
"The rule is I have to make them believe within a minute that they are dealing with a moron.
"They see me coming in the door dressed like Ali G (another of his alter egos) or Borat and I’m holding the camera. And I walk in with our director who is a handsome guy. And they assume he’s the one who will be interviewing them.
"And then when they realise it’s me, their mouths drop. When I leave them they’re thinking, ‘That guy was incredibly stupid,’ or ‘That guy was incredibly naive,’ or ‘That guy was incredibly gay.’ None of them think, ‘Hey, I was part of a comedy show!’"

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:04 pm

British singer BEVERLEY KNIGHT has hit out at EDDIE MURPHY’s treatment of his ex partner MELANIE BROWN, insisting she has "lost all respect" for the Dreamgirls actor.

Murphy publicly ended his romance with Brown on Dutch TV in December (06) when she was five months pregnant.
He has since refused to acknowledge he could be the father - but Brown’s pal Knight hopes the actor will be proved wrong by a DNA test.
She says, "I’m looking forward to the results of that test! I want to see him squirm, frankly. I’ve lost all respect for Eddie now."

BARKIN SOLD OFF ‘BATTLE SCAR’ JEWELLERY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:01 pm

Actress ELLEN BARKIN sold all the jewellery her ex-husband RON PERELMAN gave her because it reminded her of her miserable marriage.
The actress split up from the Revlon cosmetics boss last February (06) after six years of marriage.
Last October (06) Barkin sold gems Perelman had given her during their union for a staggering $20 million (£10 million), and now describes them as "battle scars".
She tells Parade magazine, " I didn’t want to look down at my hand and be reminded of why I left him. I didn’t need to carry around baggage of a man who had tried to make me Mrs. Somebody. The jewellery wasn’t a trophy for me. It was more like a battle scar."

BLOW FRIENDS HINT AT SUICIDE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:01 pm

LATEST: Friends of style guru ISABELLA BLOW have hinted the magazine editor may have committed suicide.
Blow, the fashion director of Tatler magazine, died at the age of 48 on Monday (07May07) after supposedly succumbing to a long battle with ovarian cancer.
But friends have suggested Blow - who has survived several suicide attempts in the past - may have poisoned herself.
Last year (06) she took a drug overdose and in 2005 she threw herself off a motorway bridge.
Her husband, art dealer Detmar Blow, tells London newspaper the Evening Standard, "She had worries like all artists. She suffered depression. She said to me once, ‘I’m fighting depression and I can’t beat it.’" Designer friend Zac Posen adds, "Thoughts of suicide were a big part of her existence and her persona." Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, for whom Blow once worked as an assistant, has paid tribute to the eccentric icon: "(She was) a free spirit that really believed in individual talent.
"In a world that’s largely driven by corporate culture, she was a joy to have. She was not too good at getting to the office before 11am, but then she would arrive dressed as a maharaja or an Edith Sitwell figure."

The former classical star is amazed at the pair’s ignorance while judging pop hopefuls, and is sure she’d do a better job.
The soprano says, "They just don’t know the ins and outs of a voice or music.
When I’m watching the show I think: ‘You haven’t got a clue what you’re on about - I should be on there’.

WEST BRIBES JAPANESE ARTIST WITH DINNER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:55 pm

KANYE WEST was so desperate to have the first viewing of Japanese artist MR.’s new exhibition, he bribed the star with dinner.
The rapper was recently distraught to have missed out on seeing Mr.’s work at the sold out Art Basel Miami Beach in Florida, and didn’t want to risk the same thing happening again when the artist displayed his work at New York’s Lehmann Maupin gallery last Thursday (03May07).
A source tells the New York Daily News, "Mr. was in the gallery working 24/7 on an installation to be ready in time for the exhibition.
"So Kanye surprised him by bringing in dinner at 9pm on the night before the show opened so he could be the first one to see the work. He brought fried chicken and Mexican food."

YOUNG BUCK URGES 50 CENT AND THE GAME TO ‘GROW UP’ AND SETTLE FEUD

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:55 pm

Rapper YOUNG BUCK has called on 50 CENT and THE GAME to "be men" and settle the long-running feud which has divided G-Unit.
The Game was kicked out of G-Unit by the Candy Shop hitmaker in 2005, after 50 Cent - real name Curtis Jackson - claimed he hadn’t received full credit for his contribution to the California rapper’s debut album, The Documentary.
And following Jackson’s declaration yesterday (07May07) that he holds no grudge against The Game for the writing credit, Young Buck has urged the hip-hop stars to quash any remaining differences.
He says, "You know, n**gas have differences. But if you ain’t no bitch n**ga, then you shouldn’t feel lesser (sic) than a man for stretching out your problems you had with somebody else and trying to get to them. You not less a man for trying to handle your business in a way to get to the end of the problem. You more of a man, in my eyes, straight up and down." The 26-year-old also regrets how the rappers’ handling of the situation forced their mentors, producers Dr. Dre and Eminem, to decide which party they were going to support.
He adds, "I honestly wish it didn’t happen, because what that did was make Dr. Dre and Eminem, muthaf**kas I look up to, have to analyse a situation and choose sides… That’s bulls**t."

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth was not amused when US President George Bush blundered his way through his welcoming speech yesterday (07.05.07).

Posted in: Royal News — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:43 pm

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth was not amused when US President George Bush blundered his way through his welcoming speech yesterday (07.05.07). Addressing crowds in Washington D.C., the president noted how the queen had been present during the US’s bicentennial celebrations in 1776, before quickly correcting himself to say 1976. As the error was met with laughter, Bush broke with royal protocol by turning to the monarch and giving her a wink.
He then faced the crowd and said: ‘She just gave me a look that only a mother could give a child.’ During her speech, the queen talked about the close bond shared by the two nations, and said: ‘We can celebrate the close and enduring associations which thrive between the US and the UK at every level.’ Though the 81-year-old royal did not mention the war in Iraq, her speech did refer to the ‘current preoccupations’ of current times. Later, she and husband Prince Philip hosted a garden party for celebrities and VIPs at the British embassy.
Her Majesty’s first day in Washington concluded with a dinner at the White House where she was guest of honour. The queen and fellow guests feasted on a five-course banquet of spring soup, Dover soul, lamb, salad and rose blossom dessert. The queen arrived in the US last Thursday (03.05.07) for a week-long tour - her first official state visit to the region for 16 years. Her royal tour began in Virginia, where she paid tribute to the victims of the recent Virginia Tech massacre.

Postcards featuring Britain’s late Princess Diana have been banned from royal palace shops.

Posted in: Royal News — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:43 pm

Buckingham Palace and other royal residences have stopped the sale of postcards bearing Diana’s image in line with their rule dictating that only cards featuring current members of the royal family should be sold.
The move comes despite predictions that the postcards of Diana - who was killed in a tragic Paris car crash on August 31, 1997 - would be hugely popular as the country approaches the 10th anniversary of her death.
It has been suggested by critics that the royal family were uncomfortable with the prospect of the Diana cards outselling those featuring her former mother-in-law Queen Elizabeth.
Alan Berry, co-founder of the Diana Appreciation Society, reacted to the decision with dismay.
He told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: ‘Many people who visit Buckingham Palace and the other royal residences are still big Diana fans. I would have thought it would have been a big money-spinner for them.’ A spokeswoman for the Royal Collection, which runs the souvenir shops at the royal residences, said: ‘We do stock some Diana memorabilia, particularly books. It’s just the postcards that we don’t sell. We have this rule that we only stock postcards of current members of the British Royal Family.’ The anniversary of Diana’s death will be marked with two events. The princess’ sons Princes William and Harry have organised a commemorative concert at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 1, and the royal family will attend a memorial service on August 31.
