KIM BASINGER and ALEC BALDWIN’s courtroom battles are set to move to the box office in America later this month (May07) when their new movies are released on the same day.
The couple’s ongoing custody battle over daughter Ireland continued on Friday (04May07) at a hearing in Los Angeles, which was called after a telephone answer machine message featuring Baldwin raging at his 11-year-old, was leaked to the media.
And now the couple’s fight will transfer to cinemas - Baldwin’s gritty new film, Brooklyn Rules, and Basinger’s latest, Even Money, in which she stars with Danny DeVito, are both released on 18 May (07).

SPIDER-MAN star TOBEY MAGUIRE and director SAM RAIMI suffered sleepless nights while they made the film franchise’s third movie - because the cartoon superhero’s evil side upset their consciences.
Raimi reveals he felt terrible about turning Spider-Man into a vengeful villain in some of the scenes in Spider-Man 3, where Maguire’s web-slinging character’s red and blue costume turned black.
And the fact that he was messing with a hero’s goodness left him tossing and turning in his sleep.
He tells EW.com, "It was very hard for me, going through days and days of writing and shooting scenes where Spider-Man’s affected by his dark side. Tobey felt the same thing.
"It was hard for us because we love the goodness within that character." And, as the film is set to break box office records around the world this weekend (ends06May07), Raimi admits he perhaps went a little too far in his attempts to show that Spider-Man isn’t all good.
He adds, "We probably should have used more restraint."

DREW BARRYMORE was left so scarred by a singing nightmare on the set of Woody Allen’s 1996 film Everyone Says I Love You she insisted on taking singing lessons for five months before crooning in her new film LUCKY YOU.
Even then, Barrymore admits she was a bag of nerves on the day she had to perform her first song - and she burst into tears in front of director Curtis Hanson.
The actress, who plays a Las Vegas performer in the film, insists her singing fears date back to Allen’s musical, in which she was the only star whose voice had to be dubbed.
She says, "They said, ‘You’re so horrible, you can’t sing,’ and I just thought, ‘OK, you don’t wanna get fired…’ That haunted me for the next 10 years because I sort of said OK and I didn’t face the fear.
"With practice and will, I could have done it and it always niggled at me that I didn’t try hard enough." And she took her fears to the set on the day she had to sing in Lucky You for the first time: "I burst into tears because I was so convinced it was going to be the Woody Allen all over again.
"He (Hanson) just listened to me and said, ‘You’ll get there…’ and I did it." Barrymore also showed off her vocal skills in 2007 romantic comedy Music & Lyrics.

LATEST: MADONNA’s marriage to GUY RITCHIE is reportedly at breaking point, with the filmmaker allegedly growing increasingly fed up of the pop star’s controlling ways.
The celebrity couple - who are said to have fallen out over the controversial adoption of Malawian tot David Banda last year (06) - have recently (May07) appeared in public as the perfect family, but pals say the relationship is so strained, they have stopped sharing a bed.
A source tells Britain’s News Of The World newspaper, "They’re even spending more and more nights in separate bedrooms. They’re a united front when their children are involved… But behind closed doors they barely speak." The close friend also claims Ritchie is sick of being known as ‘Madonna’s husband’, and is worried her fame is overshadowing his own profile as a movie director.
The source adds, "Guy worries he is turning into Mr Madonna… Guy thought it was ridiculous she was going straight back to Malawi with a film crew. At first Guy thought it was a good idea. But then it turned into the Madonna show and he hated the way David’s adoption was used to generate publicity." To make matters worse, the couple are also fighting over where they should live - with Madonna wanting to abandon their London home and start a new life in the US.
Friends of the celebrity pair say, "Madonna’s been desperate to go back to the States for a while, but Guy wasn’t happy about moving."

LATEST: PARIS HILTON’s mother KATHY has hit out at a judge’s decision to send her daughter to jail, branding the ruling "a joke".
The 26-year-old socialite was sentenced to 45 days in prison by Judge Michael T. Sauer at Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday (04May07), after she was found guilty of violating her probation on an alcohol-related reckless driving charge.
But Kathy, who joined the hotel heiress in court with her husband Rick, has voiced her anger at the shocking sentence, which was handed down to Paris for driving her Bentley with a suspended license in February (07).
She fumes, "This is pathetic and disgusting, a waste of taxpayer money with this nonsense. It’s a joke." Hilton’s lawyer, Howard Weitzman adds the sentence was "uncalled for, inappropriate and bordered on the ludicrous".
He says, "I’m shocked, I’m surprised and disheartened in the system that I’ve worked in for close to 40 years.
"I think she’s singled out because of who she is." Hilton will begin her jail stint at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Los Angeles County on 5 June (07).

Supermodel KATE MOSS is reportedly furious with fiance PETE DOHERTY after he failed to attend a rehab appointment earlier this week (begs30Apr07) - opting instead to go to the pub.
The troubled Babyshambles frontman had an implant fitted recently (30Apr07) in a bid to beat his substance addictions, and told a court last month (Apr07) he was staying off the drugs because of his love for Moss.

"He was really upset. He said Kate had gone ballistic when he failed to go to rehab last week for a new implant to help him off heroin.
"Instead he went on a bender and has been unpredictable and angry. The argument turned a bit nasty. Pete ran off and Kate is still refusing to see him."

Actress LINDSAY LOHAN has returned to her wild ways, after she was filmed allegedly taking cocaine - less than two months since leaving rehab.
The troubled star - who claims to have sobered up after her recent stint at the Los Angeles Wonderland Center - is also reported to have bragged to friends about her sexual exploits with actors Jude Law and Spider-Man star James Franco as she partied at trendy Hollywood nightclub Teddy’s.
A friend tells British newspaper the News Of The World: "That night I saw her do more than 20 big lines of cocaine. She was still up doing drugs at 11am. She was blatantly doing it off table tops, keys, books and in the wardrobe… In an average night Lindsay will do two and a half grams of coke on her own.
"She has told me that she has slept with James Blunt, Jude Law, Calum Best, Joaquin Phoenix, Benicio Del Toro, Jared Leto and James Franco." And the source claims the Mean Girls star only checked into the Hollywood treatment centre as a publicity stunt.
She adds, "Going to rehab was all for publicity. She wanted people to see her seeking help but it hasn’t got her off the drugs at all."

LATEST: PARIS HILTON is devastated with a Los Angeles judge’s decision to sentence her to 45 days behind bars - insisting she "doesn’t deserve this".
The hotel heiress will serve just under seven weeks in a California jail cell, after she was found guilty for violating a probation order and driving with a suspended license in February (07).
The 26-year-old fought back tears as the sentence was handed down to her at Los Angeles County Superior Court by Judge Michael T. Sauer on Friday (04May07), but by yesterday (05May07) afternoon she was back in Beverly Hills, Hollywood, to apparently drown her sorrows with a bout of retail therapy.
Earlier that morning, Paris bemoaned her fate to waiting paparazzi outside her LA home, according to the New York Daily News.
She said, "I told the truth yesterday. I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the sentence is both cruel and unwanted and I don’t deserve this." Hilton is due to begin her prison stint at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Los Angeles County on 5 June (07).

Drama VIER MINUTEN (FOUR MINUTES) won the top honour at the German Film Prize awards on Friday (04May07), taking home the 500,000 Euro ($680,500/£340,250) Lola for Best Picture.
The Chris Klaus-directed movie beat the award favourite, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, with both films nominated in eight categories.
But Vier Minuten only scooped one other prize - Best Actress for Monica Bleibtreu, whose role as an elderly piano teacher who befriends a young prison convict won the majority of the votes cast by the 800 members of the German Film Academy.
Tom Tykwer’s Perfume was a big winner, excelling in the technical categories where it swept the board for Best Cinematography (Frank Griebe), Best Editing (Alexander Brenner), and Best Costume Design (Pierre-Yves Gayraud), among others.
However the surprise winner of the night was low-budget comedy Wer Frueher Stirbt ist Laenger Tot (Grave Decisions), taking home a total of four Lolas including Best Director for Marcus H
. Rosenmueller and the Silver Lola for Best Film.
Other winners include Josef Bierbichler, who was named Best Actor for Winterreise (Winter Journey), Bummm! (Life Actually) star Hannah Herzsprung took the Best Supporting Actress, Devid Striesow won the Best Supporting Actor prize for his role in Stefan Ruzowitzky’s Die Falshcher (The Counterfeiter), and veteran actor Armin Mueller-Stahl was honoured with the Lola for Lifetime Achievement.

SPIDER-MAN 3 has broken North American box office records after selling $59 million (£29.5 million) worth of tickets on its first day of release.
The third installment of the comic book action movie - featuring Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst - opened in cinemas across the US and Canada on Friday (04Mar07), and is already predicted to smash opening weekend records, according to estimations by the film’s distributor, Columbia Pictures.
The previous record for one-day ticket sales in North America was held by 2006’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest with $55.8 million (£27.9 million) taken on the first day of screening. The Johnny Depp-starring movie is also the current record holder of sales for the opening weekend, with $135.6 million (£67.8 million).
But with the web-slinging super hero sweeping box offices across the continent in the Sam Raimi-directed film, the record for the biggest opening weekend looks likely to be changing hands within the next 24 hours.
In a statement, Columbia Pictures says, "Based on the first day’s performance, the studio believes the film will deliver in the range of $135 million to $145 million in North American for its first three days of release."

Dance music superstar TIESTO is keen to create the magic of his hero JEAN MICHEL JARRE at Wembley Stadium when the famous London venue re-opens later this year (07).
And the show could be the first of a string of Jarre-like spectaculars the Dutch hitmaker will perform at the world’s most amazing sites and arenas - to promote his new album Elements of Life.
Tiesto, real name Tijs Verwest, is even considering using some of the modern Wonders of The World as the backdrops to concerts.
The Traffic DJ, who stunned the world with his performance at the Parade of Athletes ceremony which opened the Athens Olympics in Greece in 2004, says, "That’s a very good idea.
"I’d certainly consider playing at the Pyramids (Egypt), where Jean Michel Jarre performed on New Year’s Eve in 1999. I’m often compared to him and I’m always flattered.
"But that’s not my immediate dream. After performing at EuroDisney, which I’ve now done, it would be really good to play at Wembley Stadium."

OZZY OSBOURNE has opted to forgive and forget his former BLACK SABBATH bandmates after they planned to hit the road with his replacement in the group - and call themselves Black Sabbath.
Ozzy’s manager wife Sharon got tough with rockers Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, who sacked her husband and replaced him with Ronnie James Dio in the 1970s, and they agreed to hit the road under the moniker Heaven & Hell - the name of the album they recorded with Dio.
But Ozzy, who has twice reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates since he was fired, has now gone public with his best wishes for them as they tour without him.
He says, "I have no axes to grind with them anymore. People keep saying, ‘We all know they’re really Black Sabbath but they’re going out as Heaven & Hell.’ "Hey, if they’re having fun, who am I to say no? I don’t hate anyone. I mean, Ronnie James Dio is a great singer. I’d be a liar if I said I wasn’t p**sed off when I got fired from Black Sabbath; I thought my career was over."

Cult heavy rockers TYPE O NEGATIVE won’t last another decade, according to keyboard player JOSH SILVER.
When asked if he saw himself onstage playing Type O Negative hits in 10 years, in a recent Blasting-Zone.com interview, Silver joked that at least two of his bandmates would be dead by then.
He said, "Ten years? Are you serious? I’ll be 54. There’s no f**king way.
"Type O isn’t gonna survive for 27 years. I don’t even think Led Zeppelin did.
"Ten years? Dude, certainly a portion of us will be dead by then, literally.
I certainly don’t see 10 more years. That’s not realistic.
"That said, if you would have asked me 10 years ago if I would still be doing this, I would (have) said no, too." And Silver admits he wouldn’t be devastated if the group quit touring tomorrow.
He added, "I love the music. I love being in the studio and I love making records, and I even love doing shows, but I hate the travelling. All of that s**t sucks."

The wife of film director ALEXANDER DAHM has blasted reports her husband is having an affair with pop superstar KYLIE MINOGUE, insisting the pair are "just friends".
Speculation of a love match arose after the Spinning Around star was pictured hugging Dahm at Chile’s Santiago Airport on Wednesday (02May07), where she is said to be holidaying with the father-of-one, sparking rumours of a new man in her life.
The pair originally met in Acapulco, Mexico, in January (07) while Kylie was modelling bikinis for her beachwear range for European fashion store H&M, and they have since developed a close friendship.
But his pregnant wife Laura has dismissed speculation of an affair between Minogue and her husband, calling the reports "ridiculous".
She says, "Alexander and Kylie have struck up a friendship. But it’s ridiculous to think there is some sort of affair going on. There isn’t, they’re only friends and I’m not worried…
"It’s actually funny to think her and Alexander could be involved in a romance… Alexander is there for work and I have nothing to worry about."

AUDIOSLAVE star TOM MORELLO was almost knocked unconscious after he was hit with an unknown object during a concert in 1993.
The musician says he was "lucky to survive" after the on-stage incident during a Rage Against The Machine tour in Belgium.
He says, "It came from the balcony, in the dark, and it felt like a dead, wet badger wrapped around a brick. "It splashed me and it nearly knocked me unconscious and then my guitar tech was so efficient that he removed it from the stage before I even got chance to see what the horrible thing was. I have no idea what it was. It was heavy! I’m glad I survived that."

Rockers EVANESCENCE are facing an uncertain future after drummer Rocky Gray walked out on the band, in protest to the sacking of guitarist John LeCompt from lead singer Amy Lee.
LeCompt and Gray, whose exact date of departure from the Going Under stars remains unclear, have now joined forces to launch their new group, Machina.
Writing on his internet blog, LeCompt says, "Around 3.30pm yesterday I received a call on my cell from Amy. This call wasn’t from a friend who appreciated me but from an enemy who was prepared to hurt me and my family.
"Without any warning or legitimisations for my future, I was fired for no good reason."
