Seagull swatter
A British builder is so fed up of being attacked by seagulls he has employed an assistant to fend off the birds.
Colin Jones, 38 - who received two stitches to his head when one seagull sky-bombed him during a routine rooftop job in Brighton - advertised for the position in a local shop and was shocked to receive 20 calls about the job.
Successful applicant, Steve Jackow, now gets paid £6-an-hour to wear a fluorescent jacket and frighten the birds away with a broom.
Colin said: "I started off by wearing a hard hat but it kept getting knocked off - then I had my sandwich box stolen.
"Those gulls are evil."
