ATKINSON TO STAR IN DICKENS REVAMP

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:16 am

Funnyman ROWAN ATKINSON is to reteam with his Johnny English director PETER HOWITT to revamp Charles Dickens’ David Copperfield.
The movie pals have secured a $30 million (£15 million) budget for the project, which is set to start shooting in 2008.
Atkinson will play Copperfield’s landlord Mr. Micawber in the latest version of Dickens’ hardship tale.
The last time the story hit the big screen was in 1935 when W.C. Fields played Micawber.
