BENNETT FEARS FOR LONDON’S FUTURE
Legendary crooner TONY BENNETT fears for the future of London, after hearing of the recent teen shooting killings in the British capital.
The New Yorker, 80, has been a regular visit to London since the 1950s and has been stunned by the rise of guns of the streets over the past 10 years.
He tells London’s Time Out magazine, "London has changed. It used to be more civilised. The police use to be polite, now they carry guns.
"I’m against guns, it’s the lowest form of human behaviour." Despite his fears, he admits he loves Londoners. He explains, "I just like the quality of the people. Not the royalty, not the upper class, the normal people."
