The acts, along with Sir Elton John and The Rolling Stones, have been lined up to headline a series of concerts aimed at establishing peaceful contact with aliens by beaming music into outer space.
Luckman, author of ‘Alien Rock: The Rock ‘n’ Roll Extraterrestrial Connection’, plans to hold his ‘Signals to Space Concerts’ in Berlin, Tokyo, New York, China, Russia, Mexico and London, and hopes extraterrestrials will respond to the shows.
He told BANG Showbiz: ‘The aim of the concerts is to beam live music into outer space, particularly to targets in our solar systems, including Mars and the moon, to try and establish peaceful contact with extraterrestrial civilisations. Each show will be as large as Woodstock.’ He added: ‘Some of the possible headliners are Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith and Michael Jackson. ‘Pete Bennett, the legendary promotion manager for the Beatles is also going to be involved in the project.
‘He is a friend and supporter of both my book and the ‘Signal to Space Concerts’ and feels, as I do, that space is music’s final frontier.’

The 46-year-old actress doesn’t want to go down the same route as Angelina Jolie and Madonna and adopt from a different country, because she believes there are too many children in the US who need a home.
She said: ‘There are more than half a million children here in the US who need to be adopted or need homes, so-called ‘hard to adopt kids’ because they’re not babies and come from troubled backgrounds, so I think that’s probably the way I’d go.’ The ardent environmentalist revealed she is often approached by celebrities wanting advice on how to ‘go green’.

The world famous cartoon troublemaker will "flash his little part to the entire world" in a scene where he has to skateboard naked after accepting a dare from father Homer.
Surprisingly, it is not the first time Bart has bared all.
In 2002, Rolling Stone magazine published a picture showing a baby Bart naked. The image was a recreation of the front cover of Nirvana’s classic album ‘Nevermind’, which featured a naked baby swimming after a dollar bill on a fish hook.
‘The Simpsons’ has a history of animated nudity with nakedness or scenes of a sexual nature featuring over 200 times since the show first aired as a series in 1989.

The 23-year-old star and her sister Laila, 24, spent the night in a Surrey police cell after clashing with a gang of women during a dancefloor brawl in Guildford’s Bar Med on Saturday (28.04.07).
A source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: "By the end of the scuffle Amelle had a handful of hair extensions. Then the police showed up and took her away.
"Amelle and Laila were just having fun and dancing until things turned nasty. A big group of girls came up to them on the dancefloor and words were exchanged before a fight kicked off. Amelle defended her sister and gave as good as she got." However, the unnamed 18-year-old victim claims Amelle had to be dragged away by club security after launching a vicious attack.
She told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: "Amelle went mad and attacked me. She started kicking me but ended up hitting my friend in the head as well. It was terrifying. She wouldn’t stop." Police were called to the nightspot and arrested Amelle, but her victim claims the singer continued her frenzied attack.
The victim added: "She didn’t care police were there. She went for me again. The police grabbed her and locked her in the van. She is crazy." Amelle persuaded officers to let her make a statement at 7am yesterday (29.04.07) so she could join bandmates Keisha Buchanan and Heidi Range on a flight to Los Angeles.
A police spokesman said: "A 23-year-old female was arrested in Guildford town centre following an incident in a bar. She has been released on police bail pending further inquiries." The band will spend three weeks in the US writing songs for their new album.
A Sugababes spokeswoman confirmed Amelle had been involved in a nightclub "incident".
She said: "There was an incident on Saturday night and Amelle is helping police with their inquiries. I can’t say more than that because she is on a flight to Los Angeles." Amelle joined the Sugababes in December 2005, replacing Mutya Buena.

The Babyshambles frontman, who has battled heroin and cocaine addictions, will return to a Midlands clinic today (30.04.07) to receive a new implant to help beat drugs.
Kate is due to appear in Topshop’s flagship store in London’s Oxford Street to promote her new fashion line tomorrow (01.05.07).
A friend of Pete’s said: "Pete hopes this new implant will help him quit for good." The implant, a pellet containing naltrexone, will be inserted under the skin of Pete’s stomach.
The 28-year-old rocker won’t be alone for the procedure. The couple’s cat Dinger – slang for syringe – recently gave birth to five kittens, and the singer has apparently been taking them everywhere with him. Meanwhile, Kate and Pete have been slammed for encouraging young people to smoke.
Anti-smoking charity Ash fumed: "Kids still see smoking as cool and that is down to role models." Kate, 33, recently splashed out £4,000 on a pro-smoking piece of artwork for her London home. The piece, called ‘Smoking Kills’, features ‘Liar Liar’ star Jennifer Tilly smoking next to dozens of cigarette packets.

Auden Carlsen fled the singer’s East London home in terror, claiming George and another man had grabbed him and chained him to a wall.
Carlsen - who claims he had agreed to pose for photos for the ‘Do You Really Want To Hurt Me’ singer and was not working as an escort - said: "I walked into the bedroom wearing my white underpants and a T-shirt and then I was jumped on by another man.
"George handcuffed me to a hook by the bed as they held me down." Carlsen then claims the other man left the room before the former Culture Club singer produced a box of sex toys and told him: "Now you’ll get what you deserve." The 28-year-old Norwegian - who met George on the gay dating website Gaydar - says he pulled the hook from the wall and fled in his underpants before phoning the police from a nearby newsagent’s on Saturday (28.04.07) morning.
George was later arrested and taken to a police station. He was then bailed by detectives probing assault and false imprisonment allegations.
The 45-year-old singer - who was unavailable for comment - was given community service in New York last year after a sizable amount of cocaine was found in his apartment.
Officers had originally been called to George’s home after he claimed a rent boy had tried to steal from him.

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old singer was stopped by police for allegedly speeding on Friday evening (27.04.07).
The mother-of-two was stopped at 8.45pm on Sunset Boulevard but was let off with a warning.
Beverly Hills Police Sergeant Mike Foxen said: ‘She was pulled over for speeding. She was warned about her speed and let go. She was not cited.’

The Beatles’ legend, who is set to turn 65 on June 18, has reportedly told close friends Stella’s love plan has made him "feel like a teenager again".
A source told Britain’s News of the World newspaper "Stella doesn’t like the idea of Paul being lonely. She wants him to find love and companionship again." Paul, who is currently embroiled in a bitter divorce battle with Heather Mills, will celebrate the landmark day with a lavish dinner party at Stella’s London home.
Paul will also hold a small party for close family and friends at his Sussex Peasmarsh estate and then celebrate with some celebrity parties later in the summer.
Paul’s estranged wife Heather, 39, has not been invited to any of the events.
Meanwhile, Paul’s former bodyguard insists Heather is not to blame for the pair’s break-up and has branded Paul "cruel".
Sean Ghent, who began working for the couple just before they announced their split last May, told Britain’s Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Paul completely cut Heather’s financial support. It was shocking to see this strong woman totally broken. It was ugly and cruel.
"Paul was depressed and insecure after the split. He was in trauma and seeing a psychiatrist. He wanted to win Heather back, but she was more focused. She made the decision to move on. "She made a success of herself against all the odds. She just wants to influence change and to inspire people. It was Paul’s broken promises over changing his lifestyle which really hurt her. She was too energetic and strong for him." Ghent claims he resigned after Paul ordered him to stop Heather entering their London marital home. He went to work for Heather until December 2006.
The South African former soldier says Heather has not been offered a divorce settlement.
Ghent said: "If she had been offered £10 million she would have taken it and moved on. She lives modestly and doesn’t have expensive taste or care about the trappings of wealth."

The hotel heiress – who was arrested for Driving Under the Influence last September – is the subject of a sculpture by New York artist Daniel Edwards – famous for his piece depicting Britney Spears giving birth on all fours.
The statue, entitled ‘Paris Hilton Autopsy’, shows the 26-year-old socialite lying naked with her legs splayed wearing a tiara and clutching a mobile phone. Her pet Chihuahua Tinkerbell is resting its front paws on Paris’ breasts.
The sculpture has an open abdominal cavity with removable life-size internal organs, which visitors to the exhibition can remove.
The artwork will be unveiled on May 11 at New York’s Capla Kesting Fine Art gallery as the centre piece for a public service announcement warning against drink driving, called ‘Campaign to Rescue Women of Youth’.
Gallery director David Kesting said: "It is designed to counter the disturbingly glamorised trend of Hollywood’s girls gone wild.
‘I think Daniel is really trying to embrace Paris’ stance against youth drunk driving and the dangers that alcohol presents to young women in our society.’ Paris was arrested after midnight last September 7 for driving erratically in her silver Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren in Hollywood. She scored a .08 on a Breathalyzer test, the minimum blood-alcohol level to qualify as a DUI. She claimed she hadn’t eaten all day and had only drunk one margarita cocktail at a party, before leaving to get a burger. She said she was driving erratically because she was so hungry.
‘The Simple Life’ star pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanour counts of DUI and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher.
She then pleaded no contest to a lesser charge of reckless driving and was placed on probation for 36 months. She must also pay a $390 fine and attend an alcohol education programme.
As well as his sculpture ‘Monument to Pro-Life: The Birth of Sean Preston’, featuring Spears giving birth to her firstborn on a bearskin rug, Daniel also created ‘Suri’s Bronzed Baby Poop’, in honour of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter.

Angelina admits she was nervous when Mariane, whose journalist husband Daniel Pearl was murdered by Pakistani militants in 2002, sent her a note suggesting they take their children out.
The actress – who depicts Mariane in ‘A Mighty Heart’, told Glamour magazine: "I was really nervous, thinking, ‘She’s such an intelligent European woman - what are we going to do together?’ So we went to this serious existential play, it seemed like the right thing and it was supposed to be OK for kids." Victoria and Katie have been firm friends since last year’s Paris Fashion Week, and the former Spice Girl attended the actress’ marriage to Tom last year.
Neighbours of Tom and Katie confirmed the Beckhams are interested in the property.
One revealed: "We have heard that the Beckhams have visited the property and put in an offer. They love the home."

Handprint Management allege Jennifer owes them outstanding monies for brokering her seven-year deal to star in hit US TV series ‘The Ghost Whisperer’.
The ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ actress ended her contract with Handprint Management in March 2005, but the company insists it was responsible for securing the lucrative contract in the same year.
The firm acknowledges that Jennifer paid in full for the first series of the hit show but refused to pay up for series two.
The lawsuit, which has been obtained by gossip website TMZ.com, states the company is seeking at least $350,000 in damages.
Handprint Management also claims the actress’ career was in freefall until she landed the role which brought her "back to national prominence as a television star".
