BROOKS’ PARENTS DISAPPROVED OF ZANE
The parents of British model KELLY BROOK were furious when they found out their daughter was dating American actor BILLY ZANE.
Brooks, who met Zane on the set of flop film Survival Island (Three), admits it’s taken her family a while to warm up to her Titanic star husband-to-be.
The 27-year-old says, "At first, my parents were furious that I was seeing Billy. Their reaction was ‘Oh no. Why? The leading man? God Kelly, how predictable.’ "They were reading newspapers and seeing us gallivanting around and they’d say, ‘What are you doing? You don’t even know him.’ "They weren’t excited at all. They were concerned, worried and scared for me.
"It has taken them a couple of years for them to get to know Billy, to come around to him."
