Beth Ditto would rather do gardening than take drugs.
The Gossip singer has a reputation for being a wild, outspoken rock star but insists she is actually very boring and never experiments with drugs.
Ditto told Britain’s Guardian newspaper: "One rule I always stick to is to stay away from drugs, which is why this idea that I’m a wild, crazy rock star is so hilarious.
"I actually have the opposite of a rock star lifestyle outside of performing I’m a grandma.
"I do things like bake cakes and worry about whether I have time to pot my flowers before it gets too cold." Ditto also believes drugs wreck an artist’s creativity rather than enhance it.
She added: "I just don’t think drugs are cool. I’ve seen too many people destroy their creativity and their lives and I have no desire to be one of them."
