GLENN SUTTON DIES
Songwriter GLENN SUTTON has died of an apparent heart attack. He was 69.
Sutton is best known for writing songs for artists including Jerry Lee Lewis and Tammy Wynette.
Born Royce Glenn Sutton in 1937 in Hodge, Louisiana, Sutton went on to pen the 1966 million seller Almost Persuaded with his frequent songwriting partner Billy Sherrill.
He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame in 1999.
Sutton passed away on 17 April (07) at his home in Nashville, Tennessee.
