MEL B: ‘EDDIE WAS MY SOULMATE’
Former Spice Girl MELANIE BROWN was devastated when EDDIE MURPHY abruptly ended their romance while she was pregnant, because the actor was her "soulmate".
The English singer was introduced to the Dreamgirls star through a mutual friend last June (06) and couple quickly became serious about each other.
Brown tells British magazine OK!, "The minute we met, the attraction was instant, we were just like a couple of kids together. We were so in love and the whole thing was just beautiful.
"(On our first date) within half an hour we were holding hands. We were just each other’s soulmates.
"After three days we both got tattoos. I had his name in his handwriting on me and he had my name in his handwriting on him. It was intense and felt that right. We were just inseparable.
"It wasn’t a whirlwind romance. I fell so in love with him. I will always love him, there is no question about it." Brown was stunned when Murphy publicly ended their romance on Dutch TV show RTL Boulevard in December (06) - when she was five months pregnant - and claimed he didn’t know if he was the father of her then unborn baby. Her daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown was born earlier this month (03Apr07).
She adds, "I have been disappointed and I don’t know how anybody can treat another person like that."
