HAWKE SLAMS YOUNG STARS FOR WANTING CELEBRITY STATUS
Movie actor ETHAN HAWKE is "disgusted" with the effort young stars go to in a bid to get famous.
The acclaimed actor misses the way artists used to refuse to do interviews and be respected for it, and can’t understand today’s celebrity culture.
The Dead Poets Society star says, "I started at the tail end of when it was so uncool to want to be ambitious. Then you wanted celebrity just to happen to you, because you were such a great artist.
"Now I meet all these young people and they’re just all so interested in being on the cover of magazines and, like, getting ad campaigns. It’s revolting." (KD/WNBINS/
