Former Spice Girl MELANIE BROWN was baffled by ex-boyfriend EDDIE MURPHY’s suspicions she cheated on him during their six month relationship.
Murphy and Brown ended their six month relationship in early December (06) after the Dreamgirls actor appeared on Dutch TV show RTL Boulevard doubting the paternity of the singer’s then-unborn child.
He snapped at the TV host, "I don’t know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn’t jump to conclusions." Reports claimed Murphy hired private detectives to investigate Brown’s private life and relationship with her male companions.
Brown is appealing to Murphy to acknowledge he is the father of three week old Angel Iris Murphy Brown.
She tells British magazine OK!, "I have friends who are men and most of them are gay. Other relationships were a no-go.
"I have no doubt this is Eddie’s baby."

LATEST: Hollywood actor SYLVESTER STALLONE has provided an Australian court with medical documents after he was charged with illegally importing performance drugs into the country.
The Rocky star was caught in possession of vials of a human growth hormone at Sydney Airport in February (07) - which is an illegal substance in Australia.
Stallone was not present at the court hearing today (24Apr07) and is yet to enter a plea.
His lawyer, John Chicken, says, "We’re certainly seeking to move to a resolution." The case was adjourned until 15 May (07) to allow customs to examine medical material. If found guilty, he faces a large fine.

MELANIE BROWN has questioned the authenticity of ex-boyfriend EDDIE MURPHY’s new romance with TV producer TRACEY EDMONDS.
Brown was publicly dumped by the Dreamgirls actor in early December (06) on a Dutch TV show, while she was five months pregnant. Murphy also questioned the paternity of the baby she was carrying.
Days later, Murphy attended the New York premiere of Dreamgirls with Edmonds - ex-wife of singer/producer Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds - who claimed she had been dating the funnyman since late October (06).
Brown, who gave birth to who she claims is Murphy’s daughter Angel Iris on 3 April (07), asks, "Is that relationship real? "When a person acts like that, which is out of character, it’s all very odd.
It’s hurtful and undignified.
"I wouldn’t act like that, not to somebody who I’ve been telling that I love every day. We had an amazing connection."

Movie star JOHNNY DEPP has dismissed rumours his partner VANESSA PARADIS is pregnant with their third child.

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER creator JOSS WHEDON has played down reports linking him with the fourth installment of the X-MEN movies.
Whedon, who had talks with Marvel Studios over the third movie X3 - was set to film the big screen version of Wonder Woman instead, but left the project over creative differences.
He says, "I haven’t heard anything about X-4. I had been talking with (Marvel Studios) about X3, but the dates didn’t line up. So I took on Wonder Woman, and that worked out great. Oh, no wait, I remember now, not so much!."

American actress VICTORIA ROWELL is so furious about the Emmy award voting process that she has quit popular US soap THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS.
The former model - who played Drucilla Winters on the show and is notably absent from this year’s American TV award list - has blasted the nomination process, which she brands "unfair" because it requires fellow actors, rather than independent judges, to nominate their favourite candidates.
Rowell attributes nomination to "who’s buying coffee for the cast, who’s doing the political campaign throughout the year rather than who’s doing the work on the stage".
She adds, "Actors on both coasts have tried to appeal this backward system of voting, but without success."

Actress PENELOPE CRUZ is to become the latest star to design for a high street retailer - she’ll be the new face for Mango’s new fashion collection.
The movie star will be designing a fashion range for the Spanish company alongside her sister, actress Monica Cruz, following the likes of Madonna and Kate Moss who have worked with H&M and Topshop.
A spokeswoman at Mango says the Cruz collection will feature 1950’s style classic garments and "red carpet glamour", which will take inspiration from their "eclectic" wardrobes.

SUM 41 frontman DERYCK WHIBLEY has played down suggestions their forthcoming album is political - despite a new single about the death of the President of the USA.

Northern Irish rockers ASH insist their communication skills have improved since the departure of former bandmate CHARLOTTE HEATHERLEY.
Heatherley left the band last year (06) and although the split was amicable, the remaining members have never looked back.
Drummer Rick McMurray says, "We’re excited because the communication in the band’s a lot better and we’re back to the old line-up.
"It feels very comfortable, we’re used to it, and it’s great to get back into the studio. We’re starting over - new line-up, new material."

Rapper EMINEM is reportedly in talks to buy a music venue in Detroit, Michigan made famous in his hit movie 8 MILE.
Negotiations are allegedly under way for the artist to purchase St. Andrew’s Hall for an undisclosed amount. The venue was the main setting in the hit movie, which featured Eminem contesting various rap battles.
If the deal goes through, Eminem and his manager Paul Rosenberg will share the operation, but the current management will continue running the day-to-day tasks at the club, according to AllHipHop.com.
Representatives of Eminem haven’t commented.

British rocker JOHNNY BORRELL has spoken out for the first time about his relationship with Hollywood actress KIRSTEN DUNST.
The couple got together after they met at one of the singer’s US gigs in Los Angeles on 9 March (07) and made their romance public at the world premiere of Spider-Man 3 in Tokyo, Japan last week (16Apr07).
The Razorlight frontman admits he could fall in love, despite having a relationship in the public eye.
He says, "I’m not hiding anything. We met in Los Angeles. We were hanging out at South by Southwest and we’ve been hanging out ever since.

Charles arrived at the city by royal train, and walked to the newly restored St George’s Hall where he met with notable local figures and members of the public. After meeting Royal Patron of the Hall, the Duke of Gloucester, the prince was reunited with restoration project manager Dave Lacey, who had showed Charles the building 20 years ago when it was in desperate need of repair. The prince was delighted with the work, saying the hall had been ’splendidly restored’. Charles was bestowed with an Honorary Fellowship by Liverpool John Moores University before delivering a keynote speech at the Roscoe Lecture in which he urged the audience to live in harmony with the environment. Eco-friendly Charles said: ‘I believe that true ’sustainability’, to use a now common word, depends fundamentally upon us shifting our perception and widening our focus, so that we understand, again, that we have a sacred - yes, a sacred - duty of stewardship of the natural order of things.’ The prince stressed that society needs to ‘rediscover a sense of harmony with nature’. He added: ‘We are in danger of being like the analogy of the poor frog. Had he been thrown into a pot of boiling water he would have jumped straight out again.
‘But he was put into a pot of lukewarm water and the heat was only slowly increased so that, without noticing it, he slowly boiled to death.’ Charles’ speech was followed by a private reception before he was invited to unveil a plaque to mark the re-opening of the iconic building.
The prince spent the rest of his day meeting with school children and various local community groups - representing Liverpool’s vast cultural diversity.
The visit ended with a special thanksgiving service at Liverpool Cathedral.

‘She told William she was incredibly uncomfortable about the way the whole thing was being decided for them.’ William also had second thoughts when his grandmother the queen made it clear she would not tolerate another divorce - like between William’s father Prince Charles and mother the late Princess Diana.
Another source revealed: ‘The queen was adamant that if he wasn’t sure about a future with Kate, he had to get out.
‘She made it abundantly clear that she would not tolerate another divorce in the family. Both the queen and Prince Philip told William they did not want another ‘Diana situation’ - so if he wasn’t sure, then he had no choice but to end it.’ William and Kate - who had been dating for four years - officially announced their separation just over a week ago.

A new unauthorised biography - ‘The Diana Chronicles’ by Tina Brown - alleges the princess pursued the prince despite warnings from her mother that she should marry for love, not status.
Brown - a former editor of The New Yorker and Vanity Fair - has reportedly received a $2 million advance for the book - which reportedly portrays Diana as scheming and ambitious.
Brown wrote an article 20 years ago entitled ‘The Mouse That Roared’ revealing a dark side to Charles’ and Diana’s marriage.
She has spent years on the new book, speaking to 250 sources, some of whom had never talked about Diana in public before.
Brown opens the book with an anecdote recalling a lunch meeting she had with the late princess in the summer of 1997 at the Four Seasons restaurant at which Diana talked about moving to the US. She died in the same year in a Paris car crash on August 31 1997.
Other revelations in Brown’s book - of which extracts have been printed in US Vanity Fair this week - include an allegation that the princess spent two nights with Charles on the royal train, before the were married.
Diana denied these trysts, but Brown claims a royal protection officer was the unimpeachable source of the report.
The book also claims Prince Charles was never unfaithful to Diana until her eating disorders and neurotic behaviour drove him back into the arms of Camilla Parker Bowles - his now wife.
Brown also alleges Parker Bowles’ true love was not Prince Charles, but her first husband, Andrew, who she alleges was a serial philanderer.

The country’s newest royal, who was born two weeks early on Saturday (21.04.07), was carried in her mother’s arms to greet a crowd of 2,000 well-wishers outside Copenhagen University Hospital. Prince Frederik carried the infant’s older brother, Christian, who was born at the same hospital in October 2005. His baby sister was wrapped in the same shawl he was when he was taken home for the first time. Princess Mary looked the picture of health and elegant as ever as she beamed proudly. Mary is quoted on the Hello! website as saying: ‘I think it went really well. It was a little easier this time, although you shouldn’t use a word like easy for a delivery.’ The 35-year-old added that Christian was ‘enthusiastic to see his new sister and showed a bit of brotherly love’.
The name of the newborn princess - who is third in line to the Danish thrown - is not expected to be revealed until her christening ceremony, in keeping with the region’s tradition.
Last month, 18-month-old Christian became the first Danish royal to attend a public nursery. Australian-born Mary and her royal husband are keen to give their children as ‘normal’ an upbringing as possible, and choose to be hands-on parents rather than hiring full-time nannies.

The prince and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, have applied for planning permission to open up Llwynywormwood, their Carmarthenshire farmhouse, to paying guests. The couples’ idyllic three-bedroom home - which is surrounded by 192-acres of countryside - has already been dubbed ‘C and C’s B and B’ after becoming a favourite retreat for Charles and Camilla.
Architect Craig Hamilton has designed the plans, which include a new bathroom extension and the conversion of an adjoining farm building into reception and dining room.
The plans, submitted to Carmarthenshire County Council, also feature designs for furniture made from oak and fir trees from the prince’s forests.
Charles also hopes to fill the estate’s lake from a near-by stream in order to generate hydro-electric power.
A spokeswoman for Clarence House said: ‘The application outlines plans for minor refurbishment to be carried out on the existing farm house. ‘Some conversion work is planned to the north range to create business meeting facilities and to enable the three-bedroom cottage to be let as part of the Duchy of Cornwall holiday cottage portfolio. ‘Additionally the west range will be re-built, following the historical footprint of the structure, to provide further living accommodation.’ The prince bought Llwynywormwood Estate through his Duchy of Cornwall estate in March this year for a reputed £1.2 million. Overlooking an 18th Century county park, the farmstead includes 40 acres of woodland, a walled garden and the remains of a lake.
It is hoped the farm will serve as a venue for the various charities associated with the prince, such as The Prince’s Trust.
Charles and Camilla still intend to use the farmhouse as a base when they are visiting Wales.
