CHURCHILL’S WORLD WAR DILEMMA INSPIRES 24 PLOTS
Hit television series 24’s over the top plots are inspired by a real life story - British wartime Prime Minister WINSTON CHURCHILL’s famous Coventry dilemma Churchill’s World War 2 predicament - which left him forced to choose between evacuating Coventry from German bombers or alerting Hitler that Britain knew German codes - is regularly used as inspiration for the hit show.
One of the show’s screenwriters Evan Katz reveals, "The famous Churchill situation in Coventry has become part of the DNA of the show."
