LATEST: Singer AMY WINEHOUSE is engaged to boyfriend Blake Fielder-Civil, after making him wait 24 hours for her answer.
The Rehab star - who was spotted flashing a ring on her engagement finger at a London gig on Thursday (19Apr07) - has confirmed she will wed her on/off boyfriend, whom she has been dating for the last month (Apr07).
Fielder-Civil popped the question after an alcohol-fuelled night out in London earlier this week (ends22Apr07), and Winehouse took her time to think it over before she accepted.
She says, "He proposed at home a few days ago and I took a day to finally agree. Obviously we are both young and it is frightening. But it is the right thing to do. That is why I agreed.
"I’m a very lucky girl to have found someone I love so much. I hope to be with him for the rest of my life. We haven’t set a date yet or anything." The couple originally met over two years ago, but split in 2006 after he was caught cheating on the songstress.
