Veteran heartache

Posted in: Bizzare Stories — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:29 pm

A Vietnamese man has had a bullet removed from his heart - 40 years after it was lodged there.
Le Dinh Hung, 60, was shot in the heart by America troops during the Vietnam War and surgery to remove the bullet in 1969 was unsuccessful.
He recently went to hospital complaining of chest pains. Surgeons carried out a three-hour operation and managed to take out the bullet.
Hung - who now works at a medical school and has three children with his wife - said: I feel much better now. The chest pain has eased." Dr Nguyen Sinh Hien, who carried out the recent operation said: "It is the strangest case that I have ever seen.
"Normally a person with a bullet in the heart would die immediately if they didn’t have surgery right away."
