HOPKINS: ‘MY SUCCESS IS A FLUKE’
Legendary Welsh actor SIR ANTHONY HOPKINS’ ultra successful movie career is purely down to luck, he insists.
The Oscar-winning actor - who carved a name for himself with blockbusters like SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and THE REMAINS OF THE DAY - is convinced his acting skills pale in comparison with other legendary thespians.
He says, "Most of it was luck. I’ve never really considered myself as a great actor at all. I look at my contemporaries in the London theatre and they’re much more skilled than me; people like Judi Dench. I’m just a kind of fluke."
