THE CLIPSE CALL ON VIRGINIA TO BE STRONG FOR FAMILIES OF MASSACRED VICTIMS
Rap duo THE CLIPSE have called upon the local community to come together and "be strong" for the victims of the Virginia Tech University massacre, which killed 33 people in their hometown on Monday (16Apr07).
Gunman Cho Seung-Hui, a 23-year-old English student at the college, struck twice at the Blacksburg, Virginia campus, shooting dead 32 students and professors before turning the weapon on himself.
The tragic events of Monday morning have become the worst gun massacre in US history.
Local artists The Clipse were particularly shocked to hear the news, because it strikes so close to home.
Rapper Pusher T, real name Terrance Thornton, tells AllHipHop.com, "We feel that the shooting at Virginia Tech was a terrible tragedy… definitely a shock and totally unexpected.
"Random acts of violence can happen anywhere. We must come together as a community to be strong for students and families whose lives were lost."
