WHITE STRIPES’ LOVE FOR BRITAIN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:38 pm

American rockers THE WHITE STRIPES new album Icky Thump was inspired by their love of Great Britain.
The Seven Nation Army stars have not only named the LP after an obscure 1970’s comedy skit, but are also dressed as a cockney Pearly King and Queen for the album’s cover.
The Detroit dwellers also play bagpipes in the new record, while their website features iconic images from London, including red phone booths and famous building St Paul’s Cathedral. (CJM/WNTST/LJ) WENN - FIFTH - HOLLYWOOD, SHOWBIZ & PEOPLE NEWS -18 APRIL 2007
