Eva Longoria has vowed to help Jesse Metcalfe "100 per cent" when he leaves rehab. The sexy actress - who enjoyed an on-screen romance with Jesse’s character in hit US TV show ‘Desperate Housewives’ - has pledged to support her young co-star who is being treated for alcoholism at Malibu’s Promises centre. Eva told Britain’s Heat magazine: "Jesse is very sensible and I think that’s why he’s in rehab – because he’s generally a very put-together, steady guy and he’s going to take care of it and help himself. And I’m going to help him 100 per cent." Eva, 32, also raved about her new friends David and Victoria Beckham, who are set to move to Los Angeles this summer. She said: "They’re so iconic and so famous, and so beautiful and everything about them is fascinating for people. I adore them! I think they’re wonderful, wonderful people." The brunette said she "feels really bad" for soccer star David and Victoria, because they are going to have a "hard time" being followed by paparazzi in Los Angeles.

Britney Spears has become addicted to buying wigs, it has been reported. The troubled star has allegedly traded her party addiction for shopping - spending more than $60,000 on wigs, vintage hats, clothes, lingerie, perfume and jewellery in less than a month. A source close to the ‘Toxic’ singer said Britney "has turned into a shopaholic". Addiction expert Dr. Robert Butterworth told US In Touch Weekly magazine: "People with addictions often go from one compulsive behaviour to another." Mother-of-two Britney, 25, shaved off all her hair before entering Malibu’s Promises rehab centre. The star was reportedly treated for a range of problems, including post-natal depression, following months of hard partying and drunken behaviour. While Britney was initially happy to display her shaved head, she soon opted to wear a variety of wigs. Addiction specialist Clare Waismann said: "She’s acting like a child. This is not normal behaviour. Her whole demeanour is strange. She’s not doing well." The star – who is hoping to revive her pop career – is believed to have sacked manager Larry Randolph for a second time. Britney blames Larry for contributing to her recent downfall, including introducing her to party-girl Paris Hilton, it was reported yesterday (17.04.07).

British rockers Kasabian will perform as part of the annual series of open-air concerts on July 13. Lily Allen is set to take to the stage in the courtyard of the landmark attraction on The Strand on July 16.
Other headlining acts include Amy Winehouse - who will play on July 20 - while new chart sensation Mika will perform on July 17.
The Summer Series runs from July 12, opening with Scottish group Mogwai - who will play their first ever concert in full surround sound.
The event concludes with a performance by electro dance act Hot Chip on July 21.

ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s ex-boyfriend LARRY BIRKHEAD insists the model’s mother VIRGIE ARTHUR is "not his enemy", despite failing to settle a custody agreement.
Birkhead, who was named the biological father of Smith’s daughter Dannielynn last week (ends13Apr07), has refused to sign legal documents to agree to joint custody with Arthur.
He says, "If she wants to be a grandmother, she can be a grandmother; my mum wants to be a grandmother too, but I’m not going to sign a paper saying so, it’s just not right." Arthur has been pushing the photographer to sign over joint guardianship, claiming the tot also needs to be cared for by a member of her maternal family.
Attorney Debra Rose, representing Arthur’s case, says, "She truly cares. She deeply cares. Her faith in God leads her to believe that at the end of the day she will be in a position to assist with raising her granddaughter." Smith died earlier this year (Feb07) from an accidental drugs overdose, six months after the birth of Dannielynn in the Bahamas.

LATEST: Actor RICHARD GERE and Bollywood beauty SHILPA SHETTY are facing legal action in India after being accused of committing "an obscene act" last weekend (15Apr07).
The Pretty Woman star swept the popular Bollywood actress into his arms and kissed her several times during an AIDS-awareness event last weekend (15Apr07), with angry crowds burning effigies of Gere for going too far in a country where such public displays of affection are largely taboo.
Three lawyers in India have now filed complaints against their amorous actions, and Shetty, along with several private television channels, face two further charges for showing videos of the kiss after legal papers were filed in Ghaziabad.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Reena Chaudhry is expected to hear the complaints today (18Apr07).
Shetty, who publicly defended Gere yesterday (17Apr07), says she is paying a price for being an international celebrity.
Her spokesperson says, "The media should concentrate on the promotion of the cause of AIDS awareness rather than making an issue out of kisses."

SNOOP DOGG’s former co-host of cancelled US TV series Buckwild has been jailed after being found guilty for his role in a drug smuggling ring.
Kenneth ‘Buckwild’ Francis, who fronted the Playboy TV show with the rapper, pleaded guilty last year (06) to charges of conspiracy to import and distribute tens of thousands of ecstasy pills in Los Angeles and New York in 2000 and 2001.
US District Judge Manuel Real sentenced 38-year-old Francis to more than 11 years behind bars on Monday (16Apr07).
Seven other men involved in the drugs ring also received prison sentences, each ranging from three to nine years, while the alleged ringleader, Ronald Joseph Samuel, is currently awaiting to hear his outcome having pleaded guilty to all charges, according to AllHipHop.com.
Buckwild first aired in 2004, and featured uncensored hip-hop videos as well as interviews with rappers including Busta Rhymes, Lil’ Jon, Naughty By Nature and OutKast.

Hollywood actor LEONARDO DiCAPRIO is a regular at HUGH HEFNER’s infamous Playboy mansion parties, but prefers to attend in disguise.
Hefner revealed the Titanic star causes the most excitement when he parties at the Homby Hills mansion in Los Angeles, but says the actor does not like to draw attention to himself.

Pop icon MADONNA has offered a helping hand to Malawian children by proposing to take over the orphanage where she adopted baby DAVID BANDA.
The 48-year-old singer, who is currently in the African nation with 18-month-old Banda and 10-year-old daughter Lourdes, announced her ambitions during her visit to the Home of Hope in the village of Mchinji.
The Hung Up star says, "I might take over the orphanage because the pastor here is getting old and is about to retire.
"If Malawians will work hand in hand with me I will still help Malawi." Madonna is also reportedly looking for a home in Malawi, where she hopes to spend up to a month each year in order to manage the various charity projects she has embarked on in the poverty-stricken country.

Rocker PETE DOHERTY has been praised by the judge reviewing his drug treatment order for being "more than co-operating".
The Babyshambles frontman was attending the hearing at Thames Magistrates’ Court in east London this morning (18Apr07), after he was ordered to undergo a treatment programme following his arrest for possession of drugs in April last year (06).
Doherty told the court, "I’m quite keen to show a negative test as soon as possible." Despite the 28-year-old being 30 minutes late for court, District Judge Jane McIvor said, "There’s no obligation for you to turn up to the reviews.
"The fact you’ve turned up shows co-operation - more than co-operation - and there is no risk of you breaching this order."

A laundry basket which belonged to hotel heiress PARIS HILTON has so far failed to attract bidders on internet auction website eBay.
The clothes hamper was taken from the socialite’s West Hollywood home and according to the site’s post is "in excellent condition… No DNA found inside, but maybe you have a better investigator".
Hilton’s spokesman was shocked by the bizarre sale, telling PageSix, "I just cannot think of a single thing to say." The 26-year-old socialite is due in a Los Angeles court on 4 May (07) for allegedly violating the terms of her probation for reckless-driving.

The Wire actor IDRIS ELBA believes his criminal portrayal in the hit US TV drama is superior to that of WESLEY SNIPES’ drug dealing character in New Jack City, because it isn’t too "over the top".
Elba, 34, plays gangster Russell ‘Stringer’ Bell in The Wire, and insists his character is more "convincing" at portraying an American drug lord than Snipes did as Nino Brown in the 1991 movie.
And he has no regrets about taking on the small screen role, even though it has meant turning down more profitable roles in the meantime.
He says, "It’s hard to turn down parts, which I have had to do a lot. I’ve said no to a lot of money in the process but I really don’t want to go backwards in my career.
"Russell ‘Stringer’ Bell was a one-off. Not to brag, but he has been the best depiction of a high-level black gangster I know of.
"No disrespect to Wesley Snipes but Nino Brown was too over the top. Our writers created a character that was real, multi-layered and convincing."

SPIDER-MAN actor JAMES FRANCO has blasted the paparazzi for their harassment of his co-star SIENNA MILLER, after she was constantly "hounded" on the set of their latest film, Camille.

American Idol judge PAULA ABDUL reportedly threw a "diva-like" tantrum while boarding an airplane recently (Apr07), telling fellow passengers she was "too famous" to queue.

Hip-hop mogul DAMON DASH is suing his former accountant Barry Klarberg for $3.5 million (£1.8 million), alleging he embezzled three years’ worth of tax payments from the Roc-A-Fella Records founder.
Klarberg, who also counts singer Justin Timberlake and athlete Mark Messier as clients, reportedly failed to file Dash’s returns from 2000 to 2003.
Dash, 35 - who sold off his stakes to the successful rap label and clothing line Rocawear in 2004 - is furious at Klarberg, and claims he also miscalculated fees and avoided reporting the profits of his sales.
Klarberg has written books on managing entertainers’ money and says he sees accounting as "much more of an art."
