VAN HALEN GETS BACK ON TRACK AFTER REHAB
Rocker EDDIE VAN HALEN is set to make his first public appearance after a recent rehab stint at a NASCAR race meeting this weekend (21Apr07).
The Jump star had reportedly accepted an invitation to serve as an Honorary Race Official for the Subway Fresh Fit 500 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race in Arizona.
Van Halen will use the event to launch a limited edition Fender Stratocaster guitar, as well as a limited edition EVH brand Frankenstein replica guitars on Friday (20Apr07).
A one-of-a-kind guitar will be presented to the winner of the race.
Van Halen pulled the plug on a planned reunion tour with his rock act last month (Mar07), explaining he was checking into rehab in a bid to beat alcoholism.
