Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:56 pm

But the 25-year-old told is reported to have made a pact with Prince William never to discuss their relationship publicly.
A friend says, "Kate is not that kind of girl - she has too much self-respect to dish the dirt on anyone. She is a decent person." The pal reveals Middleton was taking the break-up well and denied speculation Middleton was dumped by the prince.
She says, "She was cool and quite relaxed when she told everyone. They were all a little surprised by how unemotional she was. She almost seemed relieved it was over and it was out.

SIMPSON BOOK RIGHTS AUCTION DELAYED

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:44 pm

LATEST: An auction to sell off the rights to O.J. SIMPSON’s scrapped book IF I DID IT has been delayed.
The rights to controversial book - which hypothetically places Simpson at the scene of the 1994 murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman - were due to be sold at an auction tomorrow (17Apr07).
But it was postponed after Lorraine Brooke Associates, the company that struck the deal for the ex-NFL star, filed for bankruptcy last week (13Apr07).
The news comes as a blow to the Goldman family who were due to receive the proceeds as part of the $33.5 million (£17 million) Simpson owes following a 1997 civil case for wrongful death.
Goldman family attorney David Cook says, "The bankruptcy process is a detour on the road to justice."

TURNER ‘SECURE’ ENOUGH NOT TO MARRY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:44 pm

Legendary soul singer TINA TURNER has no plans to wed her long-term love Erwin Bach, because she doesn’t need a "big party" to feel "secure" in her relationship.
The Private Dancer singer, 67, has been with Bach, a German record executive, for almost 20 years and has laughed off rumours they will marry.
She says, "The reason we have been together so long is because we are very honest with each other and I just think, at this point, a wedding would simply be one big party - and we have parties all the time.
"Besides, I don’t need an excuse to wear wonderful dresses. And I don’t need that attention. I am secure." Turner, whose tumultuous marriage to mentor Ike Turner ended in 1978, is set to play her first show in seven years next month (18MAY07) at London’s Natural History Museum to raise money for a children’s charity.

ALLEN’S US TOUR IN DOUBT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:41 pm

British pop star LILY ALLEN has reportedly cancelled her US tour to return to London because she is homesick.
The Smile singer pulled out of a gig in New York last Thursday (12Apr07) without any official reason, and now her American tour dates next month (May07) - which aren’t even listed on her official website - have been thrown into doubt.
Allen was due to begin her tour in Seattle on 24 May (07), but the owners of the Minneapolis venue where she is due to play say the date is off, fuelling suspicions she is to come home earlier than expected.
Earlier this month (Apr07) Allen complained of missing her home comforts, writing on her MySpace page, "Is it really important to break America? I’m bored." She’s scheduled to next appear at the Coachella Festival in California on 29 April (07), but it’s unclear if this will go ahead.

‘DIVA’ KELIS FACES IRS ACTION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:41 pm

Singer KELIS is being branded a "diva" and could be reported to the American IRS (Internal Revenue Service) after turning up late to a party and then only performing two songs.
The Milkshake star - who is married to rapper Nas - was due to appear at the White Party in Palm Springs, California over Easter weekend (06April-09April) but turned up two hours late.
One production source tells The New York Post, "Kelis demanded her $25,000 (£13,000) payment up front in cash. But then she didn’t perform. Someone needs to alert the IRS - because we know she won’t." Kelis blames "unsuitable conditions" for her actions and issued a statement saying, "Because of her love for her fans, Kelis made the decision to take to the stage, against any advice not to do so." But the party organisers are fuming after Kelis reportedly forced her rehearsal stand-in to lip-sync over one of her tracks.
Festival rep, Phil Lobel says, "Bottom line is the audience wanted to know where Kelis was and why this model was singing her song. (Kelis) didn’t even care."

Theatre composer Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has slammed Paul Burrell for attempting to sell his gifts to Britain’s late Princess Diana.

Posted in: Royal News — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:25 pm

Lloyd Webber - who gave Diana signed records from his hit musical ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ - was furious to discover her former butler kept them following her death in 1997.
Lloyd-Webber told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “That awful butler, Burrell or whatever his name is. He had all Diana’s ‘Phantom’ memorabilia. “I was so furious about that, and when I saw in the papers he was trying to hawk it about I was so angry.” ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ was Diana’s favourite musical and its stars Sarah Brightman and Sir Cliff Richard had signed the records. They were found, along with other items belonging to Diana, in Burrell’s home in 2001. The former royal aide was charged with theft, but the trial collapsed after it was revealed Burrell had told the queen he was keeping some of Diana’s possessions.
Lloyd-Webber, 59, revealed he is planning his own tribute to mark the tenth anniversary of Diana’s death this year.
His ex-wife Sarah Brightman will perform ‘All I Ask Of You’ – one of Diana’s favourite songs – at this summer’s Concert For Diana.
Lloyd-Webber said: “Diana loved this song. It is important to get it right. It is slightly personal for both Sarah and I.” Swaziland’s King Mswati III has reportedly married his 13th wife in secret.
The King – Africa’s last absolute monarch – tied the knot with 19-year-old Phindile Nkamnbule on Saturday (14.04.07), according to reports.
A member of the royal family confirmed the marriage, but the Governor of Ludzidzni Jim Gama said: ‘I am not aware that there is a new Inkhosikati. Why is it news that there is a new wife? Who cares if you marry another wife?’ Mswati, 39, first met Phindile in 2005, when she was a 17-year-old student. The age-gap caused outrage but she quickly dropped out of school to assume her royal duties.
It was not the first time the King has caused controversy when choosing one of his wives.
He came under fire when he married his 11th wife, 18-year-old Zena Mahlangu, as her mother claimed she had been taken against her will and took the matter to court.
However, she later withdrew the case when Mswati reportedly threatened the judges presiding over the matter.
The King is a controversial figure in his native Swaziland as he and his wives live lavish and extravagant lifestyles, while 70 per cent of the country’s 1.1million citizens live on less than $1 a day.
