WHITAKER & WASHINGTON A DREAM TEAM IN DEBATE DRAMA
Oscar winners FOREST WHITAKER and DENZEL WASHINGTON are to team up in a new fact-based drama about a group of college debaters from a small Texas school who challenged the brains of Harvard University.
Washington will direct The Great Debaters and star as the coach who trains the Texas teens, while The Last King of Scotland star Forest Whitaker will play one of the students’ fathers.
The film is inspired by a true story and will be co-produced by Oprah Winfrey.
