CROWE KITS OUT TEAM IN ARMANI
Hollywood actor RUSSELL CROWE has splashed out on a line of Armani suits for his rugby team players to wear off the pitch.
The Gladiator star, who owns 75 per cent of Australian rugby league team South Sydney Rabbitohs, thought the team’s current visual style was less than inspiring or intimidating and decided to give his team a winning edge.
Crowe says, "The problems are that the Rabbitohs colours are red and green, which should only really be worn on Christmas day and our symbol is a rabbit, which hardly has the same suggestion of power as a lion.
"Now they put on the custom fit suit with its pinstripe jacket in cardinal red and myrtle green and they feel fantastic. It’s like putting on armour, it gives them an edge."
