Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, enjoyed an eight-mile country walk yesterday (11.04.07), proving that she is recovering well from her hysterectomy.
Camilla - who is holidaying with husband Britain’s Prince Charles at the royal Scottish estate of Balmoral - ambled through the Royal Deeside hills with her pet black and white terrier. A source told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: ‘The duchess is very active and shows she has made a full recovery.’ The duchess, 59, strolled for hours with a wooden crook for support, and appeared very comfortable in the unseasonably warm weather the UK has enjoyed over recent days. After undergoing her routine hysterectomy on March 5, Camilla spent a week in hospital and was advised by doctors to rest and avoid strenuous activities and heavy lifting for at least a month.
The duchess - who celebrated her second wedding anniversary with Charles on Monday (09.04.07) - made her first public appearance since the surgery on Easter Sunday (08.04.07) when she attended a service at Crathie Kirk.
