BIRKHEAD, ‘I WILL NOT SHARE DANNIELYNN’
LATEST: ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s former lover LARRY BIRKHEAD insists he won’t share his baby daughter DANNIELYNN with anyone.
Photographer Birkhead was confirmed as the seven-month-old baby’s father on Tuesday (10APR07), after a lengthy paternity battle with Smith’s longtime companion, Howard K. Stern, who is listed on Dannielynn’s birth certificate.
The tragic model’s mother Virgie Arthur has claimed she "just wants to be a grandmother" - while Stern has said he will "make sure he (Birkhead) gets sole custody." And Birkhead is hoping it stays that way.
He says, "We might go from one fight to another, but I’m hoping that’s not the case.
"There’s only one dad and I have no problem with anyone that has good intentions being allowed to visit the baby and see the baby and be a part of the baby’s life." But he stresses he will not share custody as "it would imply that I’m unfit as a parent, which I’m not." Smith died earlier this year (FEB07) from an accidental drugs overdose.
