Plastic thief
A German burglar was caught after trying to break into an apartment with his credit card.
The 29-year-old attempted to open the door to his neighbour’s flat in Moenchengladbach, western Germany, using the card but it snapped in half.
One half of the card fell into the apartment and police were able to trace the criminal.
A police spokesman said: "He tried to copy what he’d seen them do on television, but the flat-owner woke up and the criminal ran away. The victim called up and read us the details off the card. When we visited the burglar’ s house, the other half of his credit card was sitting on his kitchen table."
