Newlyweds AVRIL LAVIGNE and DERYCK WHIBLEY are putting down roots in Los Angeles - they’ve just splashed out $9.5 million (£4.9 million) on a house there.
The pop star and her SUM 41 frontman husband have snapped up the three-storey residence in the wealthy neighbourhood of Bel-Air, according to the Los Angeles Times.
It boasts eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, as well as an elevator, sauna and garage space for 10 cars.
The Canadian musicians wed in Monecito, California last year (JUL06) after dating for two years.

Music producer JONATHAN ‘J.R.’ ROTEM ditched BRITNEY SPEARS when she was caught on camera wearing no panties, he has revealed.

NAOMI WATTS has broken her silence over her pregnancy with boyfriend LIEV SCHREIBER, declaring she is "glowing" with excitement.
Watts’ partner Schreiber confirmed their baby news on US talk show LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O’BRIEN in February (07) after fashion house Escada revealed her pregnancy following the Oscars.
Watts says, "It is true that I am pregnant. It’s a little frightening talking about it. This is the first time that I have said it out loud to a journalist.

PARIS HILTON’s attorney has fired off a furious warning to a US internet blogger after he posted a parody of THE SIMPLE LIFE poster on his website poking fun at the socialite and her co-star NICOLE RICHIE.
GREGORY GABRIEL insists the insinuations are untrue and has demanded the images be removed from MICHAEL K’s Dlisted.com site.
According to Page Six, the lawyer wrote, "This poster clearly implies Ms.
Hilton has loathsome diseases and also implies Ms. Hilton uses Vicodin.
"The inferences… are false and defamatory." Hilton was left red-faced earlier this year (07) when alleged contents of her old storage locker were posted on the internet, including a prescription in her name for Valtrex, the drug used to combat genital herpes.
Meanwhile, according to police, Richie admitted to officers at the time of her December (06) driving arrest she had taken the painkiller Vicodin.

Dunst, 24, says, "I drink moderately, I’ve tried drugs. I do like weed. I have a different outlook on marijuana than America does.
"My best friend SASHA’s dad was CARL SAGAN, the astronomer. He was the biggest pot smoker in the world and he was a genius.
"I’ve never been a major smoker, but I think America’s view on weed is ridiculous. I mean - are you kidding me? If everyone smoked weed, the world would be a better place.

Hollywood actress KIRSTEN DUNST was so depressed by the public reaction to her film MARIE ANTOINETTE, she decided to take a "very long break from movies" after filming SPIDER-MAN 3.
The actress, who was critically hailed for her performance in the SOFIA COPPOLA-directed film, hated seeing the project suffer at the box office.
Dunst, 24, says, "I was in a lot of pain while making Spider-Man 3.
"Afterwards, I was done with acting. I was so sick of giving myself to other people, because I had nothing in my life that was all mine.
"When I finished the film, I needed a very long break from movies.
"I couldn’t look at a script, I didn’t care about acting and I haven’t worked since, because that’s the thing that’s been causing the pain."

Theatre producer DAVID IAN admits he finds LIZA MINNELLI’s estranged husband exasperating and unprofessional, and can’t understand why he was picked as an adjudicator on GREASE IS THE WORD - the search for a West End DANNY and SANDY.

Hollywood actor TOBEY MAGUIRE nearly suffocated on the set of the first SPIDER-MAN movie, at the hand of KIRSTEN DUNST.
The SEABISCUIT star, who plays the wall-scaling hero in the upcoming SPIDER-MAN 3 production, reportedly dated co-star Dunst in 2001 while they filmed the first of the comic-inspired series.
Maguire, 31, tells American film magazine Parade, "Probably the hardest thing I had to do as Spider-Man was kiss Kirsten Dunst.
"When we shot that scene where we kissed in the alleyway and I was hanging upside down … it was raining and the whole time I had rainwater running up my nose," "Then, when Kirsten rolled back the wet mask, she cut off the air completely."

Hollywood couple NAOMI WATTS and LIEV SCHREIBER are viewing a speedy Sydney wedding before the year (07) ends, according to US reports.
The pair have been dating since May 2005 and are allegedly desperate to tie the knot before welcoming their first child together in December.

Ramis insists the best way to work with the RAGING BULL star is to stay confident and resolute - whatever opposition he throws in the way.
He recalls, "(De Niro) tried to intimidate me once, and screamed at me on the phone.
"He wanted to hire an actress for ANALYZE THIS who I didn’t think was right for the part - JOEY LAUREN ADAMS.
