PRINCE WILLIAM’S PAL KILLED IN IRAQ
British royal PRINCE WILLIAM is devastated after hearing his soldier friend JO DYER was killed in Iraq on Thursday (05APR07).
The heir-to-the-throne and Second Lieutenant Dyer, 24, trained together at England’s Sandhurst Military Academy last year (06).
Dyer, three colleagues and an interpreter were killed by a roadside bomb west of the Iraqi city of Basra on Thursday.
A statement from the Prince’s London residence Clarence House reads: “Prince William is deeply saddened to hear the tragic news of Jo Dyer’s death.
“Jo was a close friend of his at Sandhurst and he is very much thinking of her family and friends right now and they will remain in his thoughts and prayers.”
