Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:50 pm

The COMPLICATED singer says, "My last record (UNDER MY SKIN) was kind of like a diary, all the things I was going through, and the lyrics were very personal and serious.
"This record is the opposite lyrically. It’s not serious.
"There are a couple of songs that are about where I’m at with that kind of stuff, but it makes this record very light and very easy - easy to perform, easy to listen to." (CJM/WNTSU/GES) WENN - FIFTH - HOLLYWOOD, SHOWBIZ & PEOPLE NEWS - 06 APRIL 2007

The memoirs have only recently been made available and are among several pieces of Smith memorabilia going up for public auction later this month (APR07) by Heritage Auction Galleries of Dallas.

AMOS DEFENDS SPEARS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:02 pm

Singer/songwriter TORI AMOS has leaped to the defence of troubled pop star BRITNEY SPEARS, insisting her recent rehab session was a revolt against her record label’s unreasonable demands.
The CRUCIFY hitmaker abhors how today’s music stars are encouraged to define themselves as a brand rather than stay true to their personality, and fears Spears’ breakdown was a result of this pressure.
She says, "Whether they’re selling perfume or a song, people have decided they’re a brand. Hollywood did a good job of creating icons in the 30s and 40s, they understood a story. Now, give ‘em a haircut and some clothes and they think they can pull off Aphrodite.
"Then you have situations like Britney shaving her head. I don’t think her sweet, saccharine image was close to who she really was, and she rebelled."
