MIDDLETON ‘SETTLES’ PRESS COMPLAINT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:44 pm

LATEST: British royal PRINCE WILLIAM’s girlfriend KATE MIDDLETON has "settled" her complaint against British newspaper Daily Mirror after printed photographs obtained "as a result of harassment".
The 25-year-old, who works as an accessories buyer for British fashion chain Jigsaw, complained last week (29MAR07) to the Press Complaints Commission (PCC) after a photo was published of her leaving her west London flat.
Middleton claimed the photo breached her privacy and the photographer in question was harassing her.
On Monday (02APR07), The Daily Mirror apologised and now Middleton’s lawyers says she has now "settled" her complaint with the publication.
A statement from the PCC reads, "Lawyers for Kate Middleton have informed the Press Complaints Commission that her complaint about the Daily Mirror has been settled following the newspaper’s prompt public expression of regret and admission of error. This came after the Commission began a formal investigation into the complaint that a photograph published in the paper had been taken in circumstances that amounted to harassment."
