SUPERNAW ORDERED TO UNDERGO PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION
Troubled country star DOUG SUPERNAW has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation by a Texas judge after claiming he is the victim of a police conspiracy.
The RENO singer, 46, appeared in Brazos County Court in Bryan on Tuesday (03APR07) to answer a misdemeanour charge of evading arrest during a 2004 confrontation with a police officer.
In a previous hearing, the singer provided a list of police agencies he alleges were trying to ruin his music career.
Supernaw said, "It has been a political economic conspiracy, and I have proved it time and time and time again." Supernaw claimed the alleged abuse began when he was "held hostage in Paris in a mentally retarded home for terrorists" five years ago (02).
This is the latest court appearance for the troubled star. He was arrested in November (06) in Humble for possession of marijuana and also spent 115 days behind bars following a 2005 conviction for marijuana possession.
