Mel B has had a baby girl.
The former Spice Girl gave birth to her second daughter in California at 12.11am today (03.04.07).
Mel was taken to Santa Monica’s St. John’s Hospital at 5.30pm yesterday (02.04.07) after her waters broke. Her spokeswoman said: ‘The baby is completely healthy with a good head of hair.
‘No name has been decided on as yet, and she is purely known as Baby Brown.’ Mel insists actor Eddie Murphy, who she dated for several months last year, is the father. However, Eddie refuses to accept responsibility until a paternity test is carried out.
The ‘Dr Dolittle’ star told a Dutch TV show in December: ‘I don’t know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test.’ Mel, 31, has a seven-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi, from her previous marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar.
If Eddie is the father, this will be his eighth child.
