Britain’s Zara Phillips has celebrated Land Rover becoming the official sponsor of the British eventing equestrian team.
The 25-year-old champion horse-rider is already the face of the car firm and now the company have signed up to be the official vehicle for the Olympic team for the next three years.
Zara said: ‘There is a natural fit between Land Rover and equestrian sports.
I am delighted to have their support not only of my own career but also for the team. This will no-doubt help in the British Team’s preparation to achieve success at the forthcoming European Championships in Italy and beyond.’ Zara, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter, became the highest ranking royal to appear in an advert last December.
The Land Rover commercial featured a photo of the royal beauty in a muddy dress under the catchline ‘Beautifully poised’.
It is thought that another advert will use images of the sporty royal participating in a three-day event.
Zara is rumoured to be engaged to her rugby ace boyfriend Mike Tindall.
However, it is believed the pair will delay the wedding until after the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, where Zara is hoping to represent her country.
