WAHLBERG ‘TOUGHED OUT’ MARINE TRAINING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:35 pm

MARK WAHLBERG pretended to enjoy training with US Marines in preparation for his role as a sniper in new movie SHOOTER, because he didn’t want them thinking he was a wimp.
The 35-year-old, who plays ex-marksman BOB LEE SWAGGER in the ANTOINE FUQUA-directed film, had to spend real time at weapon training facility Front Sight in order to understand the reality of his character.
He says, "I didn’t enjoy it at all. I pretended to enjoy it, I acted like I was going to like it, but I’m pretty lazy and it was very intense.
"Once you’re on their turf they like to push you around a little bit. They like to test you and see if you’re man enough to handle it or they’ll call your agent - so I toughed it out."
