SIMONON SENDS HAMMERSMITH PALAIS OFF WITH A BANG

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:50 pm

British rocker PAUL SIMONON said farewell to legendary London venue the Hammersmith Palais on Saturday (31MAR07) in true rock n’ roll style - by taking an axe to the stage.
The bassist, who played the venue’s final show with superband THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE QUEEN, had warned that he might do something drastic.
He said, "Before I go I think I’ve done enough to deserve a piece of the stage." Simonon’s previous band THE CLASH immortalised the music hall in the song (WHITE MAN) IN HAMMERSMITH PALAIS.
