WELLER’S ATTACK ON STING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:38 pm

PAUL WELLER has launched an astonishing attack on fellow British rocker STING, reportedly spitting at a picture of him backstage at a gig.
The former JAM star performed alongside OASIS guitarist NOEL GALLAGHER at Wednesday’s (28MAR07) Teenage Cancer Trust charity gig at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
According to British newspaper the Daily Mirror, he was spotted backstage disfiguring a picture of Sting taken when he performed there in 2000.
The newspaper claims Weller "marched straight up to it, coughed-up as much phlegm as he could muster and planted it plum in the middle of THE POLICE frontman’s head… as he walked away." Weller has never hid his disdain for Sting, recently saying, "He’s a f**king horrible man. Not my cup of tea at all. F**king rubbish. No edge, no attitude, no nothing." WOOD TELLS DOHERTY: ‘STOP PAINTING WITH BLOOD’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:35 pm

Artistic rocker RONNIE WOOD has urged PETE DOHERTY to stop painting with blood, insisting he should learn using more traditional tools first.
The ROLLING STONE, whose paintings have earned him critical acclaim and can command $120,000 (£63,000) each, fears Doherty is using human blood just for effect.
Wood says, "When I met Pete he’s a soft spoken soul. I don’t know what his frustrations are. I’d say to him, ‘Yes, paint in blood, but you’re jumping the gun by using it as your first medium.’ You can’t just start with people’s blood when there’s as much blood in a pencil.
"I’m sure if he knew he could do as much with a brush and a guitar he’d be great."

YEOH: ‘CHINESE MEN ARE CHAUVINISTIC’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:32 pm

Chinese-Malaysian actress MICHELLE YEOH is sick of relationships with Chinese men, claiming they are all chauvinistic and old-fashioned.
The SUNSHINE star, who was once married to Hong Kong film producer DICKSON POON, ended their three-and-a-half year marriage to return to acting, after tiring of her role as traditional housewife.
Yeoh, 44, says, "Somehow I feel that Chinese men are much more chauvinistic.
"It is in our genes going back generations. The majority of them would say there is nothing wrong with being chauvinistic. To their mind, that is looking after the women well.
"We are the damsel in distress, the one who is always rescued.
"But I was very formative in my ex-husband. I think it depends on where they were educated and where they end up. If you think of Hong Kong it’s so advanced and cosmopolitan, but it is still very Chinese."

The 32-year-old rocker says, "You can never tell what’s going to happen, because life is very up-and-down and interesting - it throws new things my way all the time.
"So you can never say ‘never’ to anything, but I seriously doubt it.
"Black Light Burns to me is like going out with the hottest girl in school.
Why would I want to go back to going out with someone who’s not very good-looking to me and restricts me from doing anything? "It’s like, ‘Wow, this is so awesome and easy.’ Why would I want to go back to something so hard and painful for me?"

PILOT TRAVOLTA WORRIES ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:08 pm

Hollywood actor JOHN TRAVOLTA has urged fans to help reduce global warming despite owning five private jets and having an airport in his back garden.
The 53-year-old was in London for the UK premiere of his movie WILD HOGS on Wednesday (28MAR07), which he had flown to from his home in Florida.
And despite his love of aviation, Travolta admits something needs to be done to tackle climate change.
He said, "(Global warming) is a very valid issue. I’m wondering if we need to think of other planets and dome cities.
"Everyone can do their bit. But I don’t know if it’s not too late already. We have to think about alternative methods of fuels.
"I’m probably not the best candidate to ask about global warming because I fly jets.
"I use them as a business tool though, as others do. I think it’s part of this industry - otherwise I couldn’t be here doing this and I wouldn’t be here now."
