A woman movie star JOHN CUSACK once called a stalker has been arrested outside the Hollywood home where TOM CRUISE and KATIE HOLMES live.
EMILY LEATHERMAN, 32, was arrested on Thursday afternoon (30MAR07) for violation of a court order and possession of stolen property, according to Beverly Hills police.
The authorities would not reveal the details of her arrest but stated the stolen items were not related to Cruise or Holmes.
Cruise won a restraining order against Leatherman in 2005 and last year (06) a judge ordered her to stay at least 500 feet (152 meters) away from Cusack, after the actor claimed she had been stalking him.
In his request for the restraining order, Cusack said Leatherman was "showing unusual interest by stalking, throwing long letters of interest over my fence in bags with rocks and screwdrivers inside… and listing my address as her own." As WENN went to press, Leatherman was still in custody.

Celebrity amputee HEATHER MILLS suffered embarrassment of epic proportions when she first hit the dancefloor after a motorbike accident claimed her leg.
The former model, who is now a contestant on US talent show DANCING WITH THE STARS, admits the dancefloor hasn’t always been her friend - it was the scene of one of her worst memories.
She recalls, "When you lose your leg, you think, `Can I do this, can I do that?’ And I didn’t have anybody to look to to teach me or let me know it was gonna be OK.
"I went on the discofloor and ofcourse everyone’s a bit drunk and all the lights are flashing everywhere, and I’m dancing away and I’m thinking, `Oh, this is great, I feel so free,’ "But the socket got heated up, because it’s made of silicon, and it just fell and the leg just slid along the dancefloor.
"Ofcourse, half the people were drunk or off their heads onstuff, so they were completely freaking out because it was a leg that looked really real.
You can’t just pick it up and put it on, you’ve gotta kinda pull your trousers down and adjust it, so I kinda got my leg, put it under my arm and hopped out the disco and just fell through a fire escape (door) and hitched my skirt and trousers down and popped it back on."

Actor BALTHAZAR GETTY is set to become a dad for the fourth time.
The 32-year-old star and his wife, ROSETTA, have announced they’re expecting another child.

Actress ROSARIO DAWSON has kept a promise to an old drama school friend - by starring in her first film about a date rape victim.
Dawson also signed on to produce TALIA LUGACY’s hard-hitting movie, DESCENT, which has become one of the year’s must-see independent films.
The SIN CITY star first started working on the project a decade ago when she and Lugacy were pals at acting school the Lee Strasberg Institute, where HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN and SCARLETT JOHANNSSON were also students.
She says, "Talia was always gonna write and direct this film and I was gonna act and produce. It’s taken us all that time but this is the first feature that we’ve done together.
"It explores sexual violence and revenge. A date rape starts it off and the woman collapses into herself and has her identity stripped from her.
"I think it’s a really interesting exploration of what happens when you get that tunnel vision of getting revenge when something wrong has happened to you.
Where does your perspective go?" Dawson and Lugacy will show the film at the upcoming TribecaFilm Festival in New York and the actress has big plans for her little film.
She adds, "I hope to show it to the WEINSTEINS (movie moguls HARVEY and BOB) and say, `Dude, help us out so we can get some really great theatres.’"

Actor JON HEDER has fatherhood on his mind as he promotes new movie BLADES OF GLORY - his first child is due any day.
The NAPOLEON DYNAMITE star admits he tentatively attended the premiere (28MAR07) of the new comedy with his heavily-pregnant wife KIRSTEN - but he had his doctor on speed dial and told aides to make sure he could dash off if there was an emergency.
The father-to-be says, "I have my phone on me at all times. The baby could come at any second." Meanwhile, Heder’s Blades of Glory co-star WILL FERRELL thinks his pal will make a great dad.

Anglo-Indian actor NAVEEN ANDREWS credits former SEX PISTOLS wild man STEVE JONES for his sobriety.
The LOST star admits years of heavy drinking had taken their toll on him when he first arrived in Los Angeles - and guitarist turned-DJ Jones helped him realise he was a closet alcoholic.
Andrews reveals, "Coming to America for the first time, especially LA… I started to question it, like, `Maybe I do have a problem.’ "When I first got here I met a guy who was the Sex Pistols guitarist, Steve Jones, at a party and I remember the evening going very well and I was getting drunker and drunker and he wouldn’t drink or smoke anything.
"He told me he was sober and I thought, `If he can do it, maybe I have a chance.’ "I don’t think I would have had any kind of future if I had continued to go that way and I certainly wouldn’t be able to be a parent or a human being."

Movie star KURT RUSSELL was at the end of a long list of actors considered for the lead role in QUENTIN TARANTINO’s new GRINDHOUSE movie DEATH PROOF - after MICKEY ROURKE and VING RHAMES turned the villainous role down.
The actor admits he’s well aware he wasn’t Tarantino’s first choice to play STUNTMAN MIKE but he’s just glad he got the call.
He says, "I know Mickey was a possibility and he was really close to doing it and I think Ving Rhames was close to doing it too. I think there were a number of actors who were probably close to doing it at different times.
"That kinda thing doesn’t really bother me and I’m sure there’s a lot of movies I’ve come close to doing, and, for whatever reason, I didn’t and somebody else did it.
"I’m just glad I got the opportunity to work with Quentin."

Moviemaker QUENTIN TARANTINO conned classic car owners while shopping for 1970 Dodge Chargers and Challengers for his new movie - because he couldn’t tell the motor nuts he was going to trash their pride and joy.
The director launched a nationwide search for the rare vehicles and knew collectors would refuse to sell them if they knew he was planning to use them in car crash sequences.
He says, "One of the things that was told to us was `You can’t mention that you’re gonna destroy them.’ They’ll never sell them." Tarantino eventually got hold of seven classic vehicles and trashed all but two of them.
He adds, "At the end of the shoot there was one Charger and one Challenger that we never destroyed… and I wanted them, it was my movie, so I bought them.
"The mechanics went through all the other Chargers and Challengers and picked all the best parts and made a Frankenstein monster for me."

HUSTLE & FLOW star TERRENCE HOWARD is still determined to win his wife back even though she once took a restraining order out on him because he kept showing up to cut her grass.
The handsome movie star recently laughed off reports he was dating supermodel NAOMI CAMPBELL - explaining he was still in love with his wife, LORI McCOMMAS, who he remarried in 2005.
The couple has had a tempestuous romance and when they divorced in 2003, Howard gave up his Hollywood career in a bid to try and fix his marriage.
He recalls, "She divorced me and I bought a house two blocks away from her…
and I said, `I’m gonna gut the whole thing,’ thinking I could do it three months and live in my garage.
"Two years later, I was still inside that garage… Then she got a restraining order because I kept coming and cutting the grass, taking trash out, answering her phone… going nuts." Howard and McCommas are estranged again and the actor admits he misses his wife when they’re not together.
Speaking candidly on TYRA BANKS’ daytime talk show on Friday (30MAR07), Howard revealed: "You always miss the first one." The couple first wed in 1989.

The iconic Hollywood sign almost went up in smoke yesterday (30MAR07) when a brush fire flared up in the hills near the Tinseltown landmark.
The blaze erupted just behind the sign but was contained before it engulfed the famous letters, thanks to the efforts of some 150 firefighters and five helicopter crews.
There were no reports of structural damage and no formal evacuations.

Actor TERRENCE HOWARD has confessed his longtime crush on retired model TYRA BANKS on national TV in America.
The HUSTLE & FLOW star, who was recently romantically linked to Banks’ former catwalk rival NAOMI CAMPBELL, told the American beauty she was one of his top women during an appearance on her daytime TV show yesterday (30MAR07).

Banks then flirted with Howard after he revealed there’s a spot on his neck which makes him "fall to pieces" when a woman touches it.
The former model said, "I’m gonna have to get to that spot. Before you leave this stage today, that spot is going to be touched by me." Sneaky Banks touched Terrence’s lovespot while the actor was showing off his swimming technique.

Fans of rockers PLACEBO are being invited to take part in the band’s new video - by simply singing along to their new single RUNNING UP THAT HILL.
The trio has asked fans to post footage of themselves singing along to the new song on video-sharing website Motionbox.com. Devotees will be able to download the lyrics and the instrumental version of the track from the site.
Placebo frontman BRIAN MOLKO will then select submissions for inclusion in the new video next week (06APR07).
Molko says, "This is a great opportunity to get the fans involved in one of our videos.
"Knowing our fans, as visually diverse as they are, we expect some very creative feedback. (It) could make very interesting viewing and we look forward to it."

Heavy rocker PETER STEELE had to use his size to avoid violence in jail because fellow inmates made it clear they didn’t approve of his long black hair and fangs.
The TYPE O NEGATIVE frontman served a prison term in 2005 after beating up a love rival and threatening to kill him, and admits he feared for his life behind bars.
He tells rock magazine Revolver, "To be white in jail and to have long black hair and fangs is not an advantage.
"I was in maximum security, and there were some pretty scary people in there who are never gonna get out, so they had nothing to lose by f**king with me.
"Fortunately, I’m six-foot eight (inches) and I weigh 260 pounds, so I’m not exactly a target." Steele’s 2005 confinement didn’t stop with his spell in jail. Upon his release, family members staged an intervention and insisted he check into a mental institution.
He adds, "I was suffering from drug-induced psychosis, and I was doing some pretty insane things, like putting cameras in light switches and in shower heads.
"All the paranoia was because of all the cocaine I was doing."

The music of NIRVANA has inspired a new dance production, which premieres in the group’s native Seattle, Washington this weekend (31MAR07).

The couple has announced their official split, asking the public and the press to "respect our privacy in this matter." In a joint statement, the couple reveals there’s no third party involved, and they plan on keeping all matters as amicable as possible for the sake of their eight children.
