THE GAME MISSES COURT DATE
Rapper THE GAME is wanted by New York authorities, after failing to turn up in court yesterday (29MAR07) to face charges in relation to a traffic incident when he impersonated a police officer.
The DREAMS star - born JAYCEON TAYLOR - was arrested on 15 November (06) after allegedly telling a taxi driver he was an undercover cop and persuading him to run a series of red lights in downtown New York, following an appearance on DAVID LETTERMAN’s US chat show.
Authorities claim the car was then pulled over after being spotted driving erratically.
The Game later denied all accusations, accusing the New York Police Department of setting him up.
However the rapper, who has entered a plea of not guilty, will only be arrested if he fails to make his next court date, scheduled for 13 June (07), according to the New York Post.
