HILTON CAUGHT DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE
Socialite PARIS HILTON is facing a 90-day jail spell after being found in violation of the terms of her probation.
The hotel heiress was spotted driving along Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (27MAR07) without her headlights on, according to police reports.
Officers pulled Hilton over in her Bentley convertible and found she was driving with a suspended license - the result of her drink driving arrest last September (06). She later pleaded no contest to reckless driving and was placed on probation.
Hilton’s publicist ELLIOT MINTZ insists he and his client were unaware that her driving license had been suspended.
But NICK VELASQUEZ, spokesman for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, tells People magazine, "We have sufficient evidence to prove that Hilton had knowledge of the suspension, and yet continued to drive." A hearing has been set for 17 April (07).
